  1. ah good idea, kinda like the old method for testing bike inner tubes. will see if the garage will remove and replace the tyre anyway to see if that helps, strange how it wont go completely flat tho.
  2. I've taken my tyre to a garage coz my front left tyre keeps deflatting to 18PSI and not any lower, they checked the bead and the vavle and said its all fine and cant see why it keeps losing pressure, i dont think they took the tyre off but just took wheel off and checked it all out. What should i do? Neil
  3. 100K on clock de-cat and Miltex exhaust, dodgy k&n filter (now got standard)
  4. The connector is below the inlet pipe work to the throttle body, clipped to the inner wing. Then into the loom. thankyou very much!
  5. Where does the wiring from the lamba probe to the car go? I need to change mine as i have EXACTLY the same problems as you describe!
  6. only problem is, that as soon as you lower your corrado (not sure if you have or not, i have) you then move the bump strip lower to the ground so if someone is going to open their door inot your car, they'll hit the ridge of the door, not the strip!
  7. brillaint, hopefully it'll sort alot of probelms out then, once its fitted i think the garage are going to reset the ecu or something with VAGCOM and monitor whats going on. Also, i got another error:- 00793 Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100) I have noticed that sometimes at random occations, my ABS light comes on, either when driving, or braking, or just rolling in netrual. What do i have to do to fix this fault?
  8. well had my car VAGCOM'd today, and there is no signal from the Lamba probe, ie, Its dead! So got another one in order and it'll be fitted by garage next week, as well as some wheel bearings that need replace, oh and my front bumper is falling off, oh the joys of christmad! So, would a dead lamba prob cause my car to idle crap and not run propperly? And does it now run ok coz i've reset the ECU so the car has now learnt to run without it? Thanks for your help guys!
  9. cheers CorradoVR6-n.o.s, you sugested the TPS, what signs would this show and are they expencive or hard to replace?
  10. Well ive just taken the whole inlet piping off and cleaned it all and checked everything, i also replaced this pipe.. the pipe goes to the CC, mine had melted on the mainfold heat shield, not sure if thats changed anything though. also i reset the ECU (diconnected battery) so i connected the ISV and went to start the car and...... it started first time, no problems, and idled fine, just been for a drive and it was trouble free. But i do think that over the next few days of me driving it, it could back to its old problems (read that on here in a post somewhere) Will have to wait and see.
  11. i have the same problems as you mate, i've no idea what might be wrong with mine. If you haven't already, clean out your ISV.
  12. Well on thursday i can get it VAGcom'd hopefull and see whats wrong with it! Going to strip all the intlet piping off 2morow and see if i can find anything that might be causing it to act funny! This is really doing my head in now!
  13. at the mo my ISV is disconnected, when i go to start my car up after it's been left over night i turn the key and it fires up and then stalls, so i have to apply slight gas peddal and rev it at 1k revs for a few seconds and then the idle will hover between 500-1k rpm. Ive checked all the pipes i can think of for air leaks and i cant think of any that will be leaking, can you give me a list of which i should look out for. I dont know if this makes a difference but i have noticed that in the top of the head under or in the inlet manifold where it goes over the enigine past the oil filler cap it has a kinda hollow air sucking sound?? Neil
  14. can anyone else give me any more info on this ISV controller?
  15. oooh, well this would co-inside with me fitting my leather seats and running the wires behind the centre consol, maybe i've dislodged something? what is this ISV controler you talk of?
  16. Well ive just tried my 3rd ISV and 2nd MAF and it still stalling and not being able to hold the revs, any ideas, im beginning to give up now!
  17. well i am still stumped, still doing the stalling problem, got a new ISV on its way so ill have to try that one and see how things go, just though id bump this incase anyone could shed any more light for me.
  18. ey??? I've just fitted new plugs and leads, these are the old ones???
  19. yeah suprisingly its been one of them jobs, i'll do it next time and just forgot about it. I seem to have troubles with my car all the time inlcuding now (ie, when i plug my ISV in my car stalls, when it's unplugged, its idles alot better!) that i seem to spend money and time trying to sort them problems out. It does my head in! Ill check my plugs after so long and see whats going on on the engine.
  20. well changed my plugs and leads and found a few things.. When i was looking at the engine at night i noticed sparks down at bottom of the leads near the plugs as i looked down the hole where the leads connect to the plugs.. the two sparking leads looked like this... and these are my plugs.. i think they are in order of the engine, as you can see, one of the plugs is covered in oil on the actual plug where the HT lead connects. All the plugs seem to have the same amount of black soot on them. But im confused about the kind of rusty brown stuff on the tops of the plugs, i've had the car a long time and never changed them, could these just be old plugs?
  21. what is the normal price of having a VR6 rebuilt, not including the labour, just parts etc and having block re-honed and head skimmed etc? Are we talking £500 or £3000?
  22. haha so funny you should post this, i had exactly the same problem, the pipe leans on the exhaust manifold and melts... its for the carbon canister, just replace it with some more piping.
  23. what im confused about is why my car stalls when i plug the ISV in!?!
  24. well changed the leads and plugs, stil no difference, so i unplugged the ISV and the car didn't cut out but the revs kept rising and falling between 850 and 1050, then when i revved the engine it would not fall below 800 revs and then hovered around the 1000 mark. I chaned my ISV for a known working one and its been fine for ages, then now its really dodgy! Any ideas?
