  1. Just to give you a reason to keep on at it... i had a problem that whenever i put my drivers window all the way down, my window fuse would blow. I spent weeks looking behind the door card at broken wires or for other signs of wear n tear. Turned out to be the wire that entered the fuse box had been cut sometime in the past and it wasn't reconnected propperly, so altho i was looking at the route of the problem, the door and window, it turned out to be somewhere totally different! Keep on at it, you'll get there in the end!
  2. I'd like to know this too, maybe etka or whatever its called can help? I got that rubber pipe that goes from the throttle body to this vavle thing then to the blue plug for the CC from a golf mk3 vr6, just to give you a heads up.
  3. Tonedef very kindly dug out his paper work for me and gave me some part numbers for this valve from ford.. F7364573 N/STK 002881/VALVE A It was 24.98 inc VAT Hope that helps anyone who want to get one. I'm going to try and get one and fit it and see if it makes any difference. Can someone tell me why there is a plug on this when its blanked off??.....
  4. Very good question, i managed to get the thin pipe from a VR6 golf, so all i need now is a vavle from ford, but i am unsure if this is worth it?
  5. Well im currently trying to sort out my running issues and got somewhere today, replaced my ISV with a known working one and my car seems to be running fine at the moment! But when i accelerate i notice the car kind of ever so slightly judders as i accelerate, this may be the FPR, where do i find this to replace it? Also, i looked at changing my PVC, but i DONT HAVE ONE! :s I've got a 1993 VR6 coilpack here are 2 pics of what i have.. i met with another CF'er and he had a 1995 VR6 with a 4 pin MAF and his PCV looked liked this... can someone tell me if mine is correct or if i should have this vavle thing?
  6. I dont understand where this piece is.. can someone help please.
  7. I'm wondering if certain corrados had certain cloth patterned seats, or were they totally random? And what different cloth seats did VW do for the corrado? And did the storms only have leather seats, were they all heated...etc.. can anyone give me some more info on this please.
  8. well i have monday (2morow) and wednesday off. Yeah i'd like to try ur stuff if thats ok? Pm me ur postcode and what days are u in?
  9. cheers mate, appreciate it, what u thinking i could try?
  10. yeah, it does, which is good, somethings ive changed in the last 2 days and my idling is better, not sure what engine you have tho, this is on my vr6. - Changed K&N filter back to standard air box and air filter - Disconnected battery to reset ecu - Removed the ISV damper (because it blew up) - Noticed a hole in pipe going from inlet manifold to carbon canister and taped it up - Cleaned ISV in petrol and carb cleaner - Cleaned Throttle body - Cleaned the MAF in Switch cleaner from Maplins it played up once today, but i got alot further on a drive then i have in the past.
  11. my sodding car is still stalling like before, seems to be doing it when the engine is warm, really doing my head in now!
  12. yeah i think im going to have to try and new maf or ISV, only problem is that they both arent cheap!
  13. well car seems to be stalling same as usual, i totally give up on this car now, to the crusher it goes!
  14. done that, going on a long drive today so will see if i still have the idling issues, hope not, (touches a whole forest of wood!)
  15. just putting my 2 pence in, i had a K&N cone filter just on the end of the MAF, got dirty all the time from the engine bay and road dirt etc. Put a standard air box and air filter on and have noticed its NOT as responcive as the K&N, i think the K&N just gives it a little more poke. not alot but can tell a little. If i had the money id get a bmc cda, but im too skint!
  16. dont mean this to sound funny but have u done the checks to see if it's working? hold it and get someone to turn the engine over just enough to see if it clicks, have it pluged in and unplug it, see if the revs change at all? check all hoses near by, i found one for my Carbon canaster had been melted on the manifold which might be the problem of my idleing issues. Today i blanked out the ISV damper.
  17. well ive managed to get a peice of that piping and bypass the exploded box. and i need to get some new piping for that other pipe with a hole in 2morow. then will see if it runs any better.
  18. blew my ISV damper up Removed my ISV damper.
  19. cheers mate! i think ill go to my local motor factors and see if they have some piping i can use. For now ive covered it in leccy tape, dont have any duct tape :( i just want my car running propperly :(
  20. ah right, so if i just by-pass this unit it wont actually harm the engine at all?
  21. ok ok i need to wear the.... silly me! now where can i get a ISV damper from? expensive?
