  2. oh yeah, never thought of that, duh! cheers! out of curiosity, if i am to replace my discs and pads, is it a) a hard job to do, i've done vauxhalls and peugeot brake systems. b) how much would i be expecting to pay from GSF? c) is there an upgrade im better fitting instead of the standard ones? cheers guys! Neil
  3. which sensor would i un-plug in the engine bay to make the abs light come on and the abs OFF?
  4. The ABS light now goes off like it should. I did notice some rusty build up on the front right disc, but i've driven it about 200 miles since then and its still doing it. When it was stood still for 2 weeks it was constantly rainging!
  5. well about 3 weeks ago my ABS light would come on like usual when starting the car and STAY ON, but if i was to turn the car off and start it again it'd come on like usual but go out like it should do. But it did come on and stay on a fair few times. Then i went on holiday for 2 weeks, my dad moved my car in the drive 3 times, then when i got back, THATS when the juddering started! The Judder is more notice'able when braking harder, i dont brake sharp or anything. it slows down when the car slows down. I have not done anything to the brakes since i've had the car for that past 8 months.
  6. when i brake i can feel a strong juddered from the pedal, is it a sign of wearing pads or a knackered disc? Anyone got any info before i whip the wheels off and investigate? Neil
  7. nah ive only got 2 blues and a red bulb!

How i made the install.... i started with a base to which the stretchy matirial would be attatched to. then i made some rings for the speakers to be atacthed to and for the material to stretch around, they are on stilts which will be removed at a later date, their just to hold the rings in place... then i put the stretchy material on and pinned it into place, then soaked it in firbegalss resin mixed with hardener....and left it for about 48 hours to dry properly this is an inside shot with the stilt removed, you can see how smooth it is... then i got some fibre glass matting and placed it on and used a paint brush to put the resin on...(USE GLOVES, it goes everywhere!) Then leave that for about 48 hours or more, then i put Easy Sand body filler on to give it strength and also to make it easy to smooth, i ended up with about 1cm of filler all the way around, I then chopped it in half and set about making it fit my boot, i removed the base i made at the begining (as it was made for my old car) and then firbe glassed the pod to this base i made for my corrado boot.... I then got a board for the back for the amp, and did a little more sanding, still quite a way to go tho! I also put it in to see how it sounded, it sounds GREAT! I then Set about spending about 20 hours finishing it, this is after the sanding and with grey primer, i SHOULD of used 'filler primer' but i didnt so i had to do alot of sanding, spraying, sanding, spraying etc... then i used the CORRECT primer for the pearlessant paint i was using, this was a filler primer which helped! This is the colour i chose, pearlessant Rover trophy blue found on MG's. I then set about spraying, leaving about 30 minutes between coats, i had 2 heat lamps on them from above which helped. I then laqured them, about 4 cans worth, i wanted the to be REAL shiny! Then laqure you HAVE to put on it thin coats, this took about a week to do, 2 hours every night leaving 30 mins between each coat WITH heat lamps on them... then put them in my car, oh how shiny! and i also made myself a parcell shelf to mount my mirror onto... and i also set my second amp onto the floor, one amp for subs, other for my in-car speakers and the REAR speakers, i can unplug the REAR speakers so i only have the on for show perposes etc, no point having them on whilest im in the car... then i put a floressent light in.... and to what it is now.....
  9. Before anyone posts any comments like, how horrible, i know that not everone will like what i've done, but it's kept me busy and i enjoyed making it. Well now then, i've been very busy over the past week, trying to lighten up my life! This is my boot at the moment.... But im not sure what i should go for, i have 3 Halogen bulbs and not sure what i should have, Red or blue in the middle? Baring in mind the sub boxes i've made are painted blue, maybe shining blue on them is better to show their blue? At the moment its red in middle with two blue either side.... . . . . . . . . . Or with the blue in middle... . . . . . . . . So what do you guys recon?
  10. I was paying for my petrol when this guy says to me, i really like your car mate, is it a VR6, why does everyone asume all corrados are VR6's! I was chuffed!
  11. sounds just like the symtoms ive got. I better start saving!
  12. so you'd deffinately recomend replacing them for £137 from gsf? I have alot fo starting promlems and i think it may be related to the fueling of the engine, fuel pump seems to be priming ok.
  13. how hard is it to replace the injectors?
  14. I''ve always got the insraucne company to send to me in writting the modifications i've stated so there is no confusion.
  15. -Neil-

    stashed!

I've got a better one, well as i dont smoke, my find suited me better! I brought a car for something like £10 which was a non runner which i stripped inside and out to rebuild and once i removed the seat and the floor carpet, i found, £1.20, 2 batteries and a Mobile phone, a good nokia one! Sold it for £30. so i made £21.20!
  16. will try as soon as i can!
  17. so how is it possible that my whole handle has come lose and come away from the door?
  18. well ive taken that screw out, finding out the drivers one it a clockwise thred to undo(how long did that take me to find out!) I have taken the whole door handle out of the door and had a look and im not sure how its meant to be held into the door if its only got one screw?
  19. both my door handles are now really lose and you can almost see into the door behind the handle! When i pull my handle, drivers and passengers, the whole handle moves and pulls out of the door. has anyone got a picture of how the clip looks and how it fits, and how do you remove the passat handles at a scrapyard? Neil
  20. i dont keep my locking wheel nut in the car, so no point having my spare wheel in there, i do have a coulpe of cans of wheel foam stuff that can get me home. Or i can ring a mate or my dad to bring the spare wheel out or ring the RAC. Thanks for the comments guys, its easy removable so nothing is screwed to the car which i like if i want to get rid of it. It taken a very long time and alot of effort and its nice to see its gone well. Neil
  21. Ill pass thanks, took me long enough to do this one!
  22. I've always wondered why sometime my wipers go quicker then the Set intermitant when is put them on and off sometimes, i will have to fiddle about with this, see if it works!
  23. I had my first MOT with my corrado and it was £35 for MOT, and £20 for parts and that was it! I fitted the ball joint and handbrake cable myself. I was chuffed!
