Yeah, emailed them - they want 40$ for shipping and they are well overpriced... I've spoken to the uk importer who is getting a price - looking on the rieger-tuning.de site they are 69 Euro Online Katalog page 471 - not sure if they are the same tho...
-
Kev - yeah that's what I meant when I said top plate but I reckon Mike is refering to the very top plate thing inside the car which is retained... This is one of the advantages of coilovers - you just shove the top mounts on and off you go!
-
Aqua G60 - I'd have Halfords pro over any of the above tbh, I actually prefer the ratchets to Snap-On The 120pce set is at £99 at the moment, still a good deal but i'd wait for the 150pce - if you know someone with a trade card it's £95

Hi mate - you need to seal the panel i'm afraid, you can blend it in but moisture will always get back in underneath..
-
Bump!
-
Does anyone know where you can get these now??? The Riegeretc site is really strange, no contact details or way to order?
-
Cheeeeep Did that person shrink or did the car get bigger??
-
Nice, I feel a Redline order coming on...
-
Does anyone know of any suppliers of paint who can still get the above?? Seems to be almost impossible to get hold of now - preferably want a decent make too like Standox
-
Yep, you just need an M8x80 bolt to de-tension
-
Just change the sender - they go between the spade and the resin with age / heat - I'd do it fairly quickly as you can loose a lot of oil as they get worse, especially on the pressure side!
-
The new ones are a better part - from a 6N polo People say it's a common fault but it's not - most are replacing a 15 year old plastic part which has had no end of use or have to change it again 6 months after the first time like I did because they used a GSF switch... It's £17 new from VAG and takes 10 mins to fit, large bunches of keys don't help either when it comes to wear!
-
You'd be suprised, it's the same car really - just bigger and more relaible,
-
Ah.... I was thinking gearstick then stalks then sunroof... They could well be the same as a lot of the interior parts are very close to the Passat - alot of 357 parts
-
Have you read your post ben - what are you on about :D It's in interior but I still can't think what a twisty knob is...
-
Are you on the weed?
-
Yeah - the late one is a lot shorter (easy to spot) - I'd recommend getting a new one if you can tho!
-
There is a change in chassis - roughly 93 onwards
-
Hmmm - no I'd say thats fairly dangerous mate, if not a bit stupid!
-
Al, have a read of this thread - sounds like the factory imob... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=38969

Front or rear? are the carrier bolts tight? Is the caliper actually working - ie disc is being cleanly wiped and pads are not worn inconsistently etc
-
They also do plastic top cover things which are only a few quid...
-
Yeah it will take you that long to work out the timing marks :D It's a complete arse on a G60... :( Advice would be to look at the definitive thread Yan posted up for pics, hopefully you already have the engine at TDC and can see the marks?
-
Soft-faced mallet It will come off with the vibration damper attached and this can be split if needed...
