  1. Yeah - blast them with WD40 first, let that drain off then get a handful of cl grease and work it into the cable assembly - it will make a huge difference after a bit of driving
  2. Ah, Not sure the 8v has a crank sensor... Have you changed the ignition switch and fuel pump relays?
  3. It probably looks older than a 12 year old VAG ones tho...
  4. What engine is it??? The G60's Map sensor pulls the timing back around there...
  5. Not sure what the difference is with 30 and 32 but the new ones are white so that may be an old one... Fuel pump relay is now 167 I think too - again, not sure what the significance is tho...
  6. Hmmm - I think the plug unclips and i have seen a lot of corroded ones (on the handle side) - I suppose if you suspect the switch then you could try the handle from the other side on it but they are so delicate (the wires) that you risk breaking something... BTW - the big plastic thing you mentioned behing the metal I reckon is the central locking actuator, thats working - it's just the drivers switching thats the issue...
  7. Loads here Yan but I assumed you'd got some by now - shall I get you 9??
  8. Yep - altho VR (Plus) is M14 TBH studs are good if your constantly changing wheels but I manage ok with bolts but I do have a MetalNerd locating tool...
  9. Bad Earth i reckons dudel,..
  10. I can yeah... Here's the pic I meant to attach
  11. Yeah, here's the Corrado one... looks different again tho... I am using a Sharan switch at the moment which seems to work - the last 6 digits of the part number are the same - another thing to check...
  12. They are both 7 pin in a row like the Corrado? I'd just try it as it is - chances are it will work fine...
  13. Yip - if it's not been off before then it should be fairly easy as the bolts won't be too tight and will still have the factory coating on them... If it's been off and stuck back on by a body shop then you may need to steel some scaffold!
  14. How clean was the face that the the disc mates onto?
  15. rixy, yeah, 2 relays behind there...
  16. Supercharged

    vr6 engine

Did they find the cause of the original HG failure?
  17. Welcome to the forum! What car are we talking about? - Do you here the pump prime? On the VR6 the ECU waits for a signal from the crank sensor before activating the fuel pump....
  18. Powersex give you some grease with the kits to prevent squeeking... non at all for me but I would say the ride is a lot harsher than new VAG ones all the way round...
  19. Mast is about £7 new...
  20. Stealth racing sell them - about £150 I think - see 'Goldies' gallery thread for pics...
  21. The BMC is the only thing that really works in a VR as it is enclosed and you can run a cold air feed... The VR bay is too tight and prone to heatsoak for anything else...
  22. Check your fuses dude...
  23. Welcome to the forum! It's probably just low on oil but you need vagcom really...
  24. Yep, true i'm afraid of the factory leather...
  25. Must be something at the front if it's that bad... bent wheel?? Were the ball joints changed when bushes done? - MOT should have picked those up tho...
