  1. LOL - I think it's Nigel who holds the record for selling - £33 for a pair on eBay which was 10 times the VW price at the time...
  2. Skinny - Unfortunatly these are obselete and very rare but if your stuck I can supply one for £47.50 or a pair for £100 including next day delivery.... ....
  3. rado-steve, ah right - someone must have taken the adapter off then I think usless your car is 88? You can get a new adapter from VW for £6 ish...
  4. VR6Will, yeah heard about people melting them before but only on FI motors... hence I wouldn''t use on the G60 but I've had them on the TDI for ages and showing no wear at all and a mate has had some on a mk2 GTi for a few years now... Ford OE rubbers have chains in them - C&R sell them
  5. Halfords stock them - probably dirt cheap if we can get our hands on a trade card!
  6. Arse - Helicoil time... What engine is it or was it FI's? Plugs on FI engines should be about 5Nm tighter than NA to prevent this (hence the G60 figure is 5Nm than the other Corrado's)
  7. Can't you just buy a new bulb??
  8. Could be the plastic bits the sides slide into or the arch liner... But, I would also check the middle bolt holding the crossmember hasn't snapped (seen this before when work is done and old rusty bolts not replaced etc) If looking into the above make sure you jack the engine mount before you remove the bumper incase it drops!
  9. Corroded drivers door handle switch.... Just pull the handle out (gently) to have a look, probably find the wires just dangling...
  10. Do you still stand by the quote: - 'anyone who doesn't have a turbo fitted to their Corrado is a gay' ?
  11. Yeah - don't run this until the charger has been looked at!
  12. Doh - I just sold one James! Halfords are doing them for under a ton...
  13. Yeah - you don't need the exact size just the nearest one... They go a kit in a box and then an expansion kit which fits in the original box - each are about £20
  14. Moving to 'Engine Gay' Yeah - As Andy says above if you unplug the metering unit then it should work mechanically... Could also be dodgy hall sender pickup on distributer or HT lead breakdown maybe... also could be ECU relay etc Chantry?
  15. I'd guess they didn't unplug the ECU or forgot the earth and have fried the injector controller... Also maybe worth checking the crank bolt / pulley
  16. nocrap, your breaking a 9a engine aren't you? Wonder if the 5th injector is knackered altho it shouldn't stop it starting in this weather?
  17. Yep - new black sensor needed (blue one is slightly different scale) You can also test the black one being dead with a multimetre (set on Ohms) That wire your on about on the same loom for the above connectors is fine (same on all UK cars I think) Knock sensor - I have an original bosch one (known working) you can have for £20
  18. Quality parts!! I think GSF sell an open socket to install with for not much £...
  19. GSF do sell the VR ones but they are about the same price straight from VW
  20. So 175-179 on all 6  Sounds spot on to me, won't get much closer than that!!! What engine is it? if it's the SC VR I don't know what they are supposed to be as it's probably running lower compressions anyway??
