Try steering without the engine running - thats what it would be like! It holds about 1 ltr of fluid, good news is VW have just replaced G002 with G004 which is about half the price - about £4 a ltr

There used to be an excellent one here but link no longer works... http://www.gtiworld.fsnet.co.uk/BBS.htm

Hi David, the switch is now a Polo 6N part so may be an exact fit anyways..
-
Just use cable ties...
-
It sits close to the switch - under the headlght switch...
-
Glad to hear it's sorted... Wings - I need one too, best to stick a post in the wanted section else £200 from VW

Burton power?
-
Ah ok - I think 11 is just the rubber seal so it will be 13, the actual lock cly...

Hello and welcome to the forum... As you have an early car you may find there is a slight difference in the rear quarters but only around the metal in the rear arch which they changed during production... they will fit fine, same with the doors and wings but the wings are about 1cm wider on the later cars to match the later bonnet and headlamps and wider wheels (will be fine as long as they are fitted as a pair) Manual windows should locate I think, electric ones best to get from a donor car with the controllers etc...

Proberly the rarest Corrado in existance today..
Supercharged replied to W3RKD's topic in General Car Chat
No - This is one of 2 that were build by VW Motorsport, the other being a syncro... Karmann built some (9 I think) but these look standard and are in a range of normal colours... one is in the basement of the museum and the others must be in garages around germany I reckon... -
The Corrado Replacement - Project 964

Corrado mirrors? -
Looks like it's spraying out... I'm thinking you may have overtighten'd the jubilee's and the plastic is cracked or the hose could just be leaking if the clip is not fully over the elbow and sitting on it... Did you notice how the new pump differs from the old style? - it looks like the bottom flange is replacable on the newer ones - maybe you can get them from bosch?
-
Thats always the best idea! I don't know to be honest but I just assumed that box contained relays and fuses and controlled the speeds and was located closeer to the battery to minimise voltage drop...
-
Heardy, did you get anything out of Mobil - I've heard several stories now of Mobil 1 killing VW oil pumps, especially in Corrado's!
-
Henny, aren't the speeds controlled by the box near the expansion tank?
-
davidwort, you can try a new switch tho without removing the old one, just unplug it and have the new one hanging there.... Hotwiring isn't to bad either...
-
Thats the CO Pot, adjust to 520 ohms across the outer pins...
-
Yeah, thats the cooling pipe - fairly common for them to fail after work being done and not put back properly (ie they shouldn't rest on the subframe but often do!) I don't even want to guess at a price from VW...
-
Fla - they are all on the webiste, just go on to the compass parrt and select VW Corrado... I've not got time now but will look later if you've not found them

I think i have pulled the handbrake out of the car
Supercharged replied to BeavisJem's topic in Drivetrain
They've pulled it so hard they've ripped the spot welds where it brackets to the floor... idiots! -
Welcome to the forum... Vince at Stealth Racing is the man for gearboxes... IIRC he does a VR box rebuild for £550 + vat but anything broken will be charged for on top... Worth giving him a call as he often has spares kicking about thop and may do you a trade in depending on the condition of yours... At 160k miles an a VR i'd be seriouslly thinking about getting the clutch and timing chanins done if the box is coming off!

I think this is all in the KB isn't it...

'Monkey Metal' - love it  There you go - easy enough to find on the 'tailgate' page - muppets  18 is the bit that usually breaks but when I did mine I also had to replace the clip 18a which it says is no longer available and it didn't comes as part of 18 either... also note the white ball socket clip number 20, worth getting this too...
