Hi - Yeah the rear bump stops are also 'spring assistors' - without shortening them the car will be constantly riding on them... you need to chop 40mm off!
-
Yep - bottom right also in the instruction manual!
-
Yep normal for todays weather...
-
What make were the springs - are you sure the ones you took off were the original VW ones (should have coloured blobs of paint to identify them) What shocks did you use and did you cut the rear bump stops down?
-
greengti, yeah I'd have to agree with Kongo and say to try and sort your existing ones out before upgrading if there is a problem - how do you define 'rubbish' and what your comparing to - ie brand new cars etc... Have you driven another 16V corrado to compare? also do the brakes pull at all and when was the fluid last changed? Upgrades - the easiest was to go is the G60 setup which is 280mm, you will need calipers, carriers, pads and discs... The MK3 288mm setup is more difficult as the discs are only available in 5 stud so you would have to change alot more parts... the G60 setup should be a good upgrade and give decent enough brakes on a 16V

Irwin bolt grippers if you can get a socket onto it?
-
Lippy, did you sort it?
-
Yeah Tinsman.... Check this out... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=

There was a 15 year old on here a couple of years ago who owned one and was licensed to drive it...

Buy my Roadangel!
-
Yep - they are a fiver from VW, cheaper than the sixes...
-
The bosch ones are more because they last much longer...
-
Have a search for more info...
-
Yep - this is why i'd never consider using a second hand headlight switch - way too much of a risk... In fact I burnt a loom out with a 'brand new' switch bought for £1 at a show (excess stock - I know why now!) - I now have an inline fuse on the earth of the loom.

It probably just cut out once... Is it running ok? of so just clear it and see if it comes back...
-
Hi, sorry I should have said - there is a pressure release valve built into the cap - they are known to fail with age...

357615601B There is only one type really - as long as it has 5 holes and can hold a wheel bearing then your fine...
-
car starts then stops ??Where are you OBE (RW)1?
Supercharged replied to STORM 2's topic in Engine Bay
STORM 2, good man - glad you got it sorted! -
Yeah - I'd look at the mounts first - get someone to look at the engine while you move forward and back giving it some revs...
-
Have a search for Moon AND roof !

I think the only difference on Corrado MC's is between ABS and non ABS...
-
Yep, I love a bit of Sun-pat on me exterior rubbers... prefer it on a slice of M&S malted bread tho...
-
Fla - sorry I thought you kust want the SKF part numbers as these imo are the only bearing manufacturer worth using and are VW oem... The SKF site will give all the part numbers when you select a VW Corrado and also convert VW numbers to there kits and vice versa...
-
And your question is? Good man - yep new VAG parts are the way to go and it sounds like you've done all the right mods! To be honest this would be better suited as part of the members gallery forum if you can get some decent pics up...

There is a similar thread but I don't think it's been resolved... My money would be on the starter solenion sticking whcih is most likely to happen in very hot weather, try smacking it with a large metal bar to free it, you can also check for 12v to the plug on it (fat black and red wire) - if you get 12 then it's bound to be the starter (soleniod), nothing and it's the ignition switch or some weird imob or wiring fault. Worth changing or trying a new switch anyways as they fail eventually...
