Imobiliser or Ignition switch - you can try a new one without actually fitting it... (just remember to release the steering lock if you start to drive it )
-
RADO.001, I've not seen one but my mate at the dealer reckons they are a fair bit bigger so it depends if the late sunroof motor sticks out as much as the early one??
-
Yes - they are very similar! Either try Rallye Design or C&R for new ones at good prices... (C&R should be doing them at good prices if they are going to Inters, Steve??)
-
Hmmmm... They are VW/Lucas mk4 style rear calipers but the handbrake mech and banjo connection are the wrong way round to the ones most of us are fitting as direct replacements... Not sure what they are from as they are not the ones that come on the back of audi TTs / RS4's etc either...

Moving... cheers Jonrb!

I got mie from TSR at Inters a couple of years ago - think the price was £190 at the show inc delivery (everyone else wanted £240-250)

That plastic triangle is about a fiver from the dealer...

I think this is the afterrun switch?
-
I'd get it off asap!
-
110c in traffic means the first stage of the rad fan thermoswitch is goosed... Check the wiring then change the switch - it's located on the battery side of the rad between the top and bottom hoses and is swappable without loosing much coolant.

The VW dealer in Stowmarket is actually pretty good but it sounds like you just need to get it checked out on VAGCOM first to see if it brings up anything if you've not already?
-
Welcome to the forum! First off check out the buyers guide in the knowledge base...
-
Yeah he told me about that! - luckily none of my stuff was on that pallet...

Rumour has it that Wales is working on his own design.... The Dave Cell... -
Just some small black clips that slide onto the inside of the plastic, they were white out of the factory with a small felt ring round them... the black replacements are pennies from the dealer

I'm surrised they said wait about the insurance - I reckon you should report it asap and get all 3 into a bodyshop and get curtosy cars - the megane is undriveable anyway... and the corrado won't be secure with that damage! What a sh1tter mate but at least it wasn't a stolen car with no driver to be found, I reckon it will turn out ok... -

Blimey mate - it sounds like he was actually insured then and the car not stolen... was probably pissed or on drugs so did a runner... -
You need to start pulling fuses while looking at the current draw and find which circuit is the problem, then look at each device on the circuit etc...
-
Yep - sounds correct especially if you now have the snorkel back in place... Maybe has lost 1-2 bhp in this weather without the kit...
-
Give G werks a call - they do a low profile replacement fan, cheaper and gives more room in the engine bay
-
I doubt overfilling will have done any damage then... Get a leak down test done if you suspect the HG but it sounds like you're worrying about nothing
