  1. If you look at the non GTi lupo's then - the arms are the old style but are stronger than the original Corrado ones...
  2. Guys - have you had a look at the ABS ecu connector and tried some WD40 on it??

    G-werks

M, glad you got it sorted, nice one!
  4. The Leningrad Cowboy, yeah - I just wondered if it was a special sort of paint... VW use it in white on bolts and red on plastics - It's kind of waxy...
  5. Used the above kit today which i bought ages ago to bleed my clutch and was very impressed with how easy it is to set up and use - works very well! You still need 2 people really or you could risk spilling fluid on paintwork or sucking air into the system trying to do it all on your own... Highly recommened and only about £12 from GSF / Halfords... Other stuff needed - 9/11mm brake spanner Dot 4 / 5.1 Brake fluid Spare tyre at 15 PSI Waste fluid container
  6. Does anyone know what kind of paint this is - I can imagine it has various uses for critical bolts but just wanted to confirm what it's called and where you get it??
  7. No woories - glad you got it sorted!
  8. Rear caliper carriers on a C are attached with Allen head bolts (with a fine thread)
  9. Yeah - try with the ignition on... I think the connector also needs to be electronically isolated on the valver too?
  10. RW1 wrote in the main thread - Did you set VAG-COM up to be at 4,800 "start baud" rate in "Options" so that the programme is pre-set that way before VAG-COM application is started. As registration is PC based, I run one copy of VAG-COM in a separate directory that starts at 9600 and have another in a separate directory which starts at 4800. Corrado modules are 9600 baud rate with this exception. If it still doesn't work, there may be something perculiar about the SKPang interface the 16v ECU doesn't like. The only way to verify is to get someone elses to prove interrogation that is a know workable interface with the 16v.
  11. I think you have the adjust the baud rate to take to the 2.0 16V
  12. Nice one - they are factory powdercoated so should last longer than standards! STORM 2, I think they just recomend that all are done as it will change the 'feel' of the pedal as the hoses will not expand as much as the rubber ones...
  13. Yeah, i reckon it's posible but you will need stub axles, and the wheel bearing / hub sets which are £50 a side - ie a lot of work!
  14. You can't Mark, I checked with In-Pro and all they will do is sell you a whole light unit seperatly for £135+vat(!!!)

    Airbag Fault

Mate - it says in the manual to report any airbag or ABS fault straight to the dealer, they will need to plug it in to find whats wrong...
  16. Yeah - check what mount they're using - it's madness IMO running a Shrick with a standard mount!
  17. I've no idea what a spannungsverlust is
  18. The emergency operation will switch on for that by short ignition introduced. The LED flashes afterwards long illuminated period. Lead they within 30 seconds the code of key from the control unit is go away-closes defused. Within 30 seconds the vehicle can be started. and With a spannungsverlust after to reinvest supply voltage, restored before spannungsverlust the active was entitled more immmobiliser.
  19. I noticed Tesco sell some stuff in the same plastic Castrol bottles as Synta but i'm still getting the real thing from VAG for about the same price...
  20. It works - I did it years ago! It does appear to stick out slightly proud of the dash but when you look at the later cars they all do...

    Airbag Fault

Ah - just re-read it - it logged it when you drove without the bag...

    Airbag Fault

VW will probably do this for free as it's a safety item (airbag is disabled with light one) as long as there is nothing actually wrong which i suspect Reason it logged the fault is that you musn't have disconnected the battery and pulled the relay for it when adjusting the wheel?? - if so your lucky it didn't explode in your face!!
