Should I rebuild my fully operational sunroof?
Supercharged replied to corradophil's topic in Interior
I really wouldn't touch it so long as it's working - just clean and re-grease... -
92 is the changeover year, if it has the bulge bonnet then it should be but you need to compare the lenses really...
-
The light should come on and the brakes should work as normal...
-
There is another thread about this in general... TT's are ridled with problems and have been since new, ny mate who works at Audi would happily drive any car from the range except the TT!
-
And the rest as well if they are all potentially 10-15 years old!
-
So long as the pads don't go over the outside of the discs...

Thats who the person recommended me to speak to even tho it was a simple query on one of there products fitment but he never called me back, this was over the course of a week and in the end i just felt stupid ringing them...

I think the aux pump is there becuase the cooling system on a VR is almost twice the water capacity of the 4cyl models... Are the fuses under the plastic cover in the module??
-
Have you actually changed the pipe?? If not do it, it's standard 8mm fuel hose but make sure you buy the best quality stuff (ribbed) so it won't crease as you bend it into the U shape... Renew the clips as well as they may have lost theyre thread...

Supercharged replied to pete_wilde's topic in Suppliers Forum
Hmmm... I don't get re-diredcted but the name does not resolove.... -
In theory they are out of date by then I think and should fail an MOT, all tryes have a manufacturing date stamped on them...

LOL, I think I discussed this with you before Andrew, yes they are awful, even at shows they come across as very arrogant, I only use them becuse they are cheaper than VAG... I always seem to get the work experience boy on the phone who doesn't know anything then asks *me* to call back later, lol!! Mind you I have had similar problems with AmD and Awesome GTi after wanting to buy stuff from them and not trusting there cr&p websites, I decide to phone them, the first person you speak to doesn't seem to know anything about anything and can't help at all, he then says he'll get someone to call me back which never happens, I call again and the same thing happens - I never managed to get anything useful out of Awesome, called about 5 times and was promissed a call back from 'Jim' but it never happened so took my business elsewere - hopefully I'll never have to use them again! I'll continue to use GPC for bits but they will have to be careful and improve there people skills and sort there awful website out (It's not difficult!) or they will loose business... It's unfortunate that these companies think they can survive on original reputation alone (and mainly that's only because they were the first people to offer that particular service...) - I expect a bit better nowadays!

G60 - Different lamda for CAT and non-CAT variants?
Supercharged replied to G60 Bob's topic in Engine Bay
No, they are loom specific - and they should know that, just order the correct one for your car... -
It's not a Vauxhall Sam, lol! (Could be tho or the headgasket if it's actually coming from the engine but I've not heard of many VR's spitting out coreplugs...)
-
Any news on this - I did send you PM H8RRA?
-
Welcome to the forum... I'd check the heater matrix hoses and the expansion tank itself - maybe try replacing the cap before the whole tank tho if you suspect it's comeing from there....
-
Just look at the others...
-
There are 2 'engine speed sensors' but as said above, the crank sensor would not allow the car to run at all but only if completly dead, this also always comes up on VAGCOM if the engine is not running... Clean the Throttle Body and ISV by all means but I would have thought a garage would have checked these, we really need the VAGCOM readout in order to advise otherwise you are just clutching at straws...

G60 - Different lamda for CAT and non-CAT variants?
Supercharged replied to G60 Bob's topic in Engine Bay
All UK G60's got a CAT as standard and if you've had a bypass pipe you will still need a probe, there are 2 types I think depending on the wiring, just give them the reg/chassis number and tell them to get on with it! -
Yeah, you can still fix most of them tho as they have the round things to undo, also make sure these are vented with small holes so you don't boil them whilst charging if you have overtopped it slighly... If one chamber is low on fluid then have a go but batteries are cheap now so a new one is a good investment providing you have ruled out the car draining it?

And he's offering his services...

Please use the search in future, this has been covered extensively... http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm
