Nope get a genuine VAG one, much better than the pattern ones! New flywheels are fairly cheap for the VR but if you are going to lighten then you may as well get your existing one done if you can (and if you can leave yer car with no gearbox for a few days..)

Standard VAG clutch should be good for upto 250bhp... Worth doing the chains at the same time if they are original and the car is around the 100k mark...

Yeah, it's easy... The rear shelves are held on there lugs by 3 or 4 shouldered nuts but I think you can take the speakers out seperatly as they are held in there own crade, I think there is only one screw underneath the speaker going into the side of the shelf that you have to remove then it will lift up (remove the grill)

Are you sure it was 0.03 Ohms or Kohms?? I'd check the reading again from cold to warm... The pic below is for the G60 and the scales may be different but it should give you an idea...

If you take the speakers out and cut away a bit of plastic, you can fit the adjusters on top of the shocks and leave them in there with the grills on top...

Not here - The bigger the knowledge base gets the better... This might help but I don't have a pic inside the car... (the handle is corrado-specific)

My insurance is stupidly cheap actually because they only look at the BHP figure compared to what the car used to be, a G60... Like I said in my PM tho, unless you have a crashed mk4 and do the work yourself then a conversion like that will cost a fair amount (3-4k at Stealth for just labour) I'd personally stick with a 16V, especially as it used to be a press car - what about the GTi engineering lump that was on here a couple of days ago - that would be a fairly straight swap...

Cracked coil packs will arc with the water mist...

Welcome to the forum! The cable itself is 536 823 531 and is about £30 from VAG, if thats all thats broken then in theory that is all you will need to fix it altho it maybe worth ordering the various grommets, guidesleeves and locking levers and do the lot (VW can look these up for you when you order) Fantastic guide there, very well written! We are currently trying to build up a knowledge base with exactly that sort of material (see link above) so feel free to document anything thats not there already, the bonnet cable replacement would be a good one infact!

It is yeah (well the lense and the plastic surround) - have a look in the knowledge base for a guide on how to convert early to late

They sit right under the speakers (you need to remove them really..) I'll get a pic at the weekend if no one else has by then...

You need to change it really but no point if it's leaking that badly, check the steering rack boots to see if they are full of fluid...
