Sounds like the wrong pulley mate - strange tho as new alts don't come with them and you have to swap them over... The are a bit of a pain to get off tho so the dealer may have ordered a new pulley also and it's wrong - you should be able to tell if its new, is it shiny? VR's have a 7 rib belt i think - something else to check...

Circlip pliers or an allen key will do it.

Yep, it's a bit of an art getting it to th right tension but basically you should be able to twist the best at a right angle to itself but no further.

Well, I've got 2 of the following waiting to be fitted at Stealth in a couple of weeks... thats 2 people now that hae said they will fit a G60 with Konigsports and 2 that say they won't, so i've asked them to make sure they have some standard G60 mounts in stock also if these don't fit... Jay, yes the GSF G60 ones that are in there at the moment are less than 2 years old (25k miles roughly) and are completly trashed!

C&R are in Nottingham, send it back to them - they may say that it's not covered but may offer to sell you a single new one...

They have a coil on the shelf listed for Corrado 1.8 - I got the guy on the parts desk to check and he confirmed it fitted a G60... Let me know if you don't have any luck and i'll get you the part number...

They are lifetime warranty, I had one break also and sent them back to C&R for replacement (I assume thats where they came from as they are the only importer)

Cheap tools can be ok too, I picked this set of clips up from ALDI the other day, they are really strong and feel about the same as the Halfords one's except these cost £3.99 for the whole lot!! - quite a good addition to my tool box i thought as they are padded so should not damage fuel hoses etc... (pictured on my mums pink carpet just for Dinkus..)
