  1. Yep, winter mats are still available for the dealer - more expensive than carpets tho!
  2. I heard that some old audi's have a bigger unit...
  3. I think Kevhaywire knows a good place for these, the are about £80 for a set IIRC...
  4. No - the koni kit... H&R's are cheapest for Motorsportwheels and just get the Koni's seperatly from Halfords...

    1.5V supply

Just stick a battery box in under the dash somewhere, you'll only need to change em every 2 years or so!
  6. It's about time people started reducing the prices of leather interiors, I keep seeing original ones going for £650-700 will boster wear/cracks etc A few years ago fair enough but now i'd rather pay a bit extra and get a retrim.
  7. Best to take the lights out to change bulbs but sidelights can be done in situ - pair of pliers helps to get the bulb holders out! Sounds like the centre screw is not located properly, check your manual for a diag... there are the 2 front screws which you can see and then a central one whice is recessed... just undo the other 2 screws of your not sure...
  8. geordiedubber, You don't need reverse lights for the MOT test!!!
  9. Larkspeed seem best on price, mine was £369 delivered.
  10. Cheers to Shilakalakalakadaddy, Supersprint Cat Bypass recieved well packaged!
  11. I like my H&R's but again they are to hard for the roads round here, on the right surface tho they are amazing!
  12. I can beleive that, I think I had a dodgy tank a few weeks ago, car was slow (like it was on standard unleaded and my timing is advances for super) and MPG went down also...
  13. I'm not sure you can test a knock sensor with a xbox anyway...

    Door advice

I think the later ones have extra side impact protection, thats all...
  15. errr... they come attached to new glass so i'd say you can't really remove them and put them back on...
  16. Duplicate deleted - try this...
  17. I think people with H&R springs generally slag them off without even trying them because they paid more for theirs... I drove a golf the other day with a Koni kit on and it was fine, I'd say the Vogtland springs are better then the Eibachs as they sit better (alot of people have had problems with Eibachs sitting the same height front to back..) Considering they cost about £55 extra as part of the koni kit i'd say there a bargain!
  18. Yep, go for LUK, they are brand new where as some of the SACHS ones (even ones supplied by VW dealers) are re-manufactured...
  19. Are you saying Steve is some sort of 'forum bitch-slag'?
  20. Oil Temp - about right for standard, if your not happy and plan to keep the car along time then a Mocal remote oil cooler is a worthwhile upgrade... I hope your not talking about the crank?? - If so don't run the car until fixed (probably not this as you'd need to take a plastic cover off to see) Most likely the waterpump or Pas pulley - water pump is on the larger belt... If so the pulleys are held on by allen bolts, check to see if they can be tighten'd...
  21. It's a standard part from golf and passat G60's with aircon, used to be about £12 from the dealer, now gone up to £75!! Best to get the Gwerks kit as you get the samco reducer as well that you'll need.
