Yep, my quote was £1800 and it's currently being fixed, this included new rear bumper and re-shaping the rear panel and re-allinging the boot and lights plus wax injection etc....
-
My mates got one in a mk2 - looks cool if a bit retro!
-
Thats unbeleivable, it looks like the wing is the only part that needs replacing and their only £150 from VW - some womans insurance company are currently spending £1800 on mine after she ran into the back of me, replacement bumper is £397+vat plus damage to the rear panel etc being sorted out....
-
What! - most screens cost at least £100!
-
Wrong forum 2cc! :D
-
There not, the web site is just wrong...
-
All corrado's are hydraulic
-

V1 RDE, Welcome to the forum
-
Agreed, or alternatively if you get a second hand box locally then JMR is in your neck of the woods...
-
I take it the bump stops were changed with the shocks?
-
You'll get a second hand box much cheaper than that then it's just a case of paying for a clutch change to sort out...
-
Blackberry M*** CLC coming accross the melton railway line just now...
-
 You should never be topping up with more than 1 litre at a time and that would be below the min mark on the dipstick! Like Kev says, 3 litres is half the sump! - The big ends will be completly dry going round corners...
-
Ok cool, yeah makes sense, I just love the way the wire was just tucked down the seat, and its about 5 metres longer than it needs to be!
-
The screen is bonded so the seals don't really matter - but there is a rubber seal round the front that are £30 from VW but the insurance should cover it if you ask for it... The screens come with the black trim at the bottom attached, make sure its done in a work shop (not outside in this weather) and that they use a proper Sekurit laminated screen (£240+vat from VW but any glass company can get them cheaper direct and can also get top tints)

Yep, GSF sell the MFA stalk
-
Hmmm - I hope not!! the CL primes to deadlock 30 seconds after closure but the boot light goes off as soon as the boot is closed... ...do you think its just telling the alarm the boot is closed?
-
Yeah - I plan to add weight with the dynamat but I'll try and account for it by not putting the space-saver etc back in, maybe make a storage space for a few tools, the jack, jump leads, multimeter and tyre weld 8) also took out the rear wiper motor but that was disapointingly light...
-
Sorry - so basically I think it must be part of the alarm but why would it need a feed to the boot light???? - all the rest of the alarm stuff is behind the dash/centre console...
-
Ok, I was taking apart my interior today and found a purple wire tapped into the black wire on my boot light which runs towards the dash (I've traced it as far as under the front seat carpet) - what the hell is that for (It's deffo not original!) History - my car is fairly original in terms of the wiring and I have added the headlamp loom and some speaker cable... The only thing that I had problems with when I got the car was a badly fitted clifford alarm and had loads of bare wires and missing screws behind the dash which I sorted and all the electrics have been fine since (I had a few gremlins and it sorted then all)
