  2. Nice one mate, told you to change it asap after my similar (worse) experience! - was lucky it didn't go the other night, I really didn't want to give you a lift back to Norwich!! lol Should also mention the crank bolt as that has not come up for a while - all G60 owners should get these changed also as there have been a few cases of them snaping as the original is a stretch bolt, now been superceded to a non stretch type but no recall!!

  6. Just bought the DVD for my Dad for xmas, very good indeed and alot better than the book, He's got an R1150GS with all the options, ABS, heated grips and so on... They were actually using the GS Adventure which you have to be 6ft tall minimum to be able to ride, they were also loading them up with stupid amounts of gear!!

  13. 20:30 Today BBC2 Top Gear 2004 More automobile-oriented antics presided over by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The BMW 1 Series elbows its way into the world of the small hatchback, Jeremy and James look at the range of cars flooding the market from South East Asia and the Ariel Atom takes to the track. Meanwhile, Richard splashes about in a supercharged German army half track and Trinny and Susannah are this week's Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car
  14. Jeeez... Roddy's Porsche is in a bit of a state...
  15. Some kit can only read CDRW's and not CDR's, My mates Marantz (Philips) HiFi cd player is like this - I would check the specs on the website... Have you tried any other CDR's?
  16. Good call - the resistance caused by the worn tensioner will cause the belt to heat up and wear quicker, I know this because my belt had been changed about 20k before I bought the car but the tensioner hadn't (f$%kwits!) by the time i'd noticed the tensioner was shot to pieces, the belt looked like it had done 80k's! - Kevhaywire posted a pic of the tensioner somewhere on here....
  17. Most likely the one that doesn't work has just been replaced with standard non heated glass...
  18. The above scentence rings alarm bells! (excuse the pun) - It looks more than likely the alarm installation is causing the problem - too much of a coincidence!!
  19. Jim, best to go to a bodyshop, not a tyre place or standard garage....
