Those GSF pads you bought are the rears - no where on the description does it say that though - useless!! The second link looks like the right ones for the fronts.

Hmmm... yeah 10k is nothing for discs and you might not see much wear on pads but should be some... The discs don't look 'clean' - was the car sat for a while?? If not then maybe the calipers are not working effectively. Rear comp valve is under passenger side rear axle - should be free to move up when pushed

Yeah they look standard to me and if they are the G60 ones then the caliper piston size is still 54mm so no affect on the MC. Being a 95 car it will have ABS, when was the fluid last changed?? The rear brakes on these cars also have a huge impact of the overall brake feel, have a good look at these plus the compensator valve to check it's working correctly. What's actually the issue - feel spongy / too much pedal travel or just simply struggles to stop?? sometimes cheapo pads and discs can feel awful as they age!

I wouldn't run anything but standard with 17's on UK roads... anything lower / stiffer will compromise the little ride quality you have.

Have you bled the mast cyl Karl? Got the calipers the right way round?

Shouldn't do but it is cold obviously... I would connect it and also find where that plug goes... Could be ignition switch or ECU / Fuel pump relay too - also check fuses. Have you got AA cover at all?? worth calling them to diagnose

ah check the size - euro car parts / GSF are notorious for giving out the wrong size belt! Sometimes the pump needs a bit of persuasion with a soft faced mallet to move too - don't take the pulley off!

No it's just one short V belt, quite a simple run on an 8v

Not easily but if they're obselete it would be good if we could find someone to refurb - it's quite a complicated mechanism even though it's based on simple principles.
