Late style headlight switch available at Classic parts
Supercharged replied to clumpy1's topic in Ebay and Misc
I think the Chinese Jetta ones are a better to be honest... Late Corrado ones were never reliable! -
They did a set price of £1550 + vat I think (- probably gone up a bit now) for chains / tensioners / clutch / head rebuild. If it was that sort of money i'd say yes but give Vince a call...
-
Yeah you should always change them, there are ABS and Non-ABS versions. Also order the ABS cage if required.
-
Different part numbers but fairly sure they'll interchange, most 02A's do - people used to fit TDI starters to petrol cars as they were more heavy duty.
-
I'm all for promoting the value of these cars but agree that's ridiculous... it's worth half that but then they are getting 'collectible' now so someone with £££ may well buy it.. sh1t colour though :-)
-
Be careful if it's a VR6 - there are 2 different sizes by chassis number as they changed the sump gasket.
-
Check the switch wires to the door handle - they corrode and break very easily so be careful!
-
Eric, just chasing this as I've not got a pass emailed yet or will they send in the post? Happy to collect the money on the day, in fact, I might take my Fire Warden high viz with me and just go round collecting from other clubs too :-)

Great pics :-) -
You might want to ask them to look at the wheels on the balancer without the tyres on - see how round / balanced they are first... What wheels are they by the way? Just wondering if you're missing spiggot rings if aftermarket alloys? If original wheels then some are now peanuts from Classic Parts so maybe worth buying a new pair / set

The 305's are 4-stud. http://www.badger-5.com/

Usually the radiator fan switch causes running at 110c - the first stage fails but check the wiring to it first. Regarding the noise - what mileage is it on? Have the chains ever been done?
-
I can't believe the ammount of parts you've changed!! Get it on a diagnostic before doing anything else or call the AA etc if you have cover... VAGCOM will probably come up with 'engine start blocked by imobiliser'
-
Likely to be an out of shape / damaged wheel or tyre is it's supposedly balanced ok...

Halfords 150pce Socket Set for £71.88

Mic, they've had a couple of flash sales recently for an extra 10% off everything - wait for the bank holiday! -
Please stick to your original thread about this - no point starting a new one about the same issue! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=86787 Locking

It will also flash if it thinks the car is overheating - look at the other water sensors!
-
Sounds like the actual clutch plate has broken...
-
Be careful giving that code out over the phone... I did and when I dropped the car off, the paint had arrived and it was some metallic orange colour :-)
