Hi, is it the electronic or mechanical version? Sounds like the clocks but maybe worth checking wiring and changing the fuse first just in case there is some high resistance somewhere causing the behavior.
-
I'd buy from VW (Rods come complete with the ends) if you can but otherwise VWspares... http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_steering.php

Sounds like the timing is out... -
Hmmmm... Has the car been in an accident?
-
Ban him Jim :-)

Hmmm... fluid should flow just under the Eezibleed pressure - no need to touch pedal. I think the slave must have gone but maybe the MC's been damaged or maybe the feed pipe has collapsed internally? It maybe the master seals dried out
-
Depends if the metal sleeves are rusty / siezed - try and buy these too as it might make things much easier!
-
Yeah been there too - Febi ones lasted less than a year! Buy genuine ones, you need the rubber mount, bearing, threaded bush (nut) and the upper spring plate with the flat top for the bearing to sit on - be careful with these as there are early and late ones (later springs have a smaller pigtail)
-
Hi, did you pressure bleed it? What slave did you use, some of the cheap ones are awful, maybe faulty

037121010CX - Water Pump, £40.10 from TPS

Just go to a VW dealer mate as the metal ones with inbuilt rubber are far superior to the paper aftermarket ones.. You may want to just buy a complete pump exchange though as sometimes they leak from a point at the back of the bearing part of the housing - looks like it's the thermostat housing until you inspect closer

Any luck Yan? -
... Yep looking at the first pic the car would fail an MOT with wheels sticking out further than the arches! ET must be under 20
-
Those tyres aren't that wide - must be the wheel offset that's wrong...

Advice required please on Shock absorber fitting

Lambda probe socket also works well as the cut out for the wiring allows the access for the allen key... Otherwise - air gun! -
You don't really need them at the front but the mk4 312mm ones will work with an extra hole drilled.
-
You can't really do a compression test accurately with the engine cold... Did you also have the injectors unplugged and throttle held open as per the manual? It's very unlikely for a VR to pop a headgasket so I'd look at the oil cooler in the first instance!

[Urgent] Front Spring top plates (smaller type)

Forgot to update this - got these from TPS in the end, had a pair on the shelf and less than a tenner a side! -
Maybe an earthing issue?

VIN of the last one made? Or date the last one made?
Supercharged replied to dobbiej's topic in General Car Chat
Here you go... Disappointingly I don't think it's been washed ever - still had mud under the arches when we say it a few years ago :-( -

I think the one that Top Gear delivered to the Wolfsburg Autostadt was the last but maybe wrong... -
Goldie - just to confirm are these VR6 only?
