  1. The belt itself is fine and it will naturally centre itself - just make sure it doesn't go any further than that and also check tension... I'd also check the bootm pulley is not loose and pulling the belt - well worth changing the crank bolt holding this on as it's a known issue with original ones failing.
  2. When you get it running better it's well worth taking to a specialist for a proper setup...
  3. Ah nice one, sounds like the hose was the wrong way round then - that would cause a few issues! I'd buy a new Temp sensor anyway but it shouldn't cause smoke - just mild overfueling so maybe proper setup needed
  4. Mate - just take it to Stealth - Vince will do it in minutes for you
  5. Could be year but could also be a lot of other things... G60 lamda's seem to expire every 60k or so and more often if overfueling so good place to start. Should run ok when unplugged and if it's better then it's either a faulty sensor or wiring to it.
  6. Yeah - plug is near the rear engine mount (4 pins including an earth) - look for wire damage where the engine side of the loom as cable tied to the bulkhead
  7. Yep - loads of Corrado parts like rear badges, numberplate panels - new stuff being added all the time. Just do a search of 535 on the Classicparts.de site
  8. No - you need the whole unit for £60ish Gruven parts do a metal pulley though - nice bit of kit Bearing is a tenner though mate - I'm sure you could use a vice to swap it over, it's only small
  9. Jesus - they used to be hald that! The VR one is an option if the Slam Panel is the later one
  10. Might just need setting up post cam belt change... Pic would be good, the G60 belt is not that wide so sounds very dodgy!
  11. No, G60 rad is specific - that's a 16V one. It's available from Classic Parts
  12. I'm using a Bosch 096 in mine - was nice and cheap with the Halfords Trade Card and seems better than the same size Halfords one I had before - doesn't struggle at all in winter now! Remember you'll need to mod the fuel filler to take the Derv nozzle - mine is running the standard G60 Fuel pump and filter by the way as the PD only needs 1.5 Barr to the pump on the engine - I also have a TDI filter in the engine bay.
  13. They should sell you a bung and extra O ring with it - on ETKA it's listed as 'also use...'
  14. That's exactly the problem you get with an intermittent ECU relay - loads of us have had the same running symptoms caused by a failing ECU relay!
  15. Have you bled the nipple on the MC? - this is key to getting a good pedal
  16. Set the CO pot to 550Ohms As above the original problem is most likely the ECU relay - number 30 which is now superseded by 32 (If yours is 30 then it's most likely to be original!)
  17. Yep - usually need changing every 80k miles or so
  18. Pretty simple - you have a small clip holding it onto the throttle butterfly - don't loose this! Then it goes though the bulkhead via a rubber bung and hooks onto the pedal - can't remember which end I started when I did mine. Just make sure the throttle micro-switches are opperating after fitting - ie the idle one is pressed when the pedal is up and when you put your foot to the floor it makes the WOT switch. Stick a little clean engine oil where the cable is exposed...

  22. Cool - cheers for that, gone up a bit but still very reasonably priced!
  23. Worth mentioning it's for a VR... (different to base suspension models)
  24. Yep (although we call it the MK4 over here) - that was back in 2002 though when you could buy a complete Brembo conversion kit for a MK2 / Corrado for £330 from the dealer!!! They are now £52+vat (now 20%) each. Do you have a local VAG dealer over there? - if so the part number is 6KL615301
