Battery should last at least 3-4 weeks - if not then you need to look at the drain with the engine off and rectify
-
Tidy!
-
You can but only late ones, I bought a pair just before the VAT rate went up in Jan.
-
Lol, seen em go for £100 before - at least it's the 535 part numbered box... You can buy these for less than £20 new from VW, usually on the shelf too. LIDL often have the exact same size ones for sale too - £7 I think
-
Jesus - is that how much they RRP is now! Typical useless British company selling a book full of vague, often incorrect information with **** poor pictures! That said I have one for a MK2 Polo and Scirocco and they are great, they just can't seem to make anything good for modern cars.
-
You looked on eBay - couple of sellers on there do new / pattern pipes
-
ELRA is awesome, I love going in Tempest's G60 when I get the chance!
-
I think daves16v was doing a repair kit for these...
-
^ Is that cheap!?!
-
Just buy new headlights (complete units) - £100 from VW
-
Yep - metal bracket as per the MK3 Golf
-
Hmm - a 1988 VR6 - don't think so... It's on hardly any miles though and looks very tidy!

Yeah, the MAX recommended torque for an M10 Hex headed Bolt at 10.9 is 75Nm and that is plated, if not then it's 67.5Nm.
-
No worries - I'd also add that the ones I've had are the newer type green coated bolts that VW supply and have been fine. The one above that sheared is 18mm like yours but had the yellow coating like the originals - was yours the same and same make?
-
Welcome to the forum, you need to bridge the gauge sender connectors at the pump end (the 2 small wires on the 4 pin plug) and see if the gauge moves (ignition on)
-
As I said above it should be 60Nm according to my info, all this bolt does is hold the radiator carrier to the car, nothing structural. The only ones that are 85Nm are the bumber bracket bolts number 5 as they carry the front engine load. I think VAG may have had a dodgy batch of bolts though as Chris 2cc also had one fail, his were the new type of bolt with a smaller 18mm head as opposed to the 19mm original but I have also used these and the ones I've had were fine... strength should be 10.9 Part number is the same but you'll see the length is 1mm more than the original item - I think because of this I would do up no tighter than 45Nm, it won't go anywhere...
-
Yeah sounds like a knackered caliper to me - MK4 ones are the way forward!
-
My car is idling at 3000 revs (off and on)

Welcome to the forum - it's a 16V I assume? -
7 is an M10 - I think it should be 60Nm

Most of us have replaced with new due to similar issues... £100 a pair from VW or much cheaper from here - http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1900
-
Ah the oil cooler went? - may have contaminated the sensor in the exp tank then, get a new tank and cap

Try using the search function next time... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?5307-VR6-belt-tensioner-bearing-replacement-how-to.&highlight=bearing+replacement

It will be the cap I reckon then - that should have been changed years ago! Also need to fill via the top hose to the rad on a VR to avoid air locks
