Cheap new from VW - new ones are black.
-
I'd raise the car - handling must be awful the way it is!
-
I did mine without removing the dash - took 1.5 hours to get it out! .... and then another week or so to replace it :-)
-
I'm not actually sure but heard you can do it... I've only ever changed complete regulators as the wires usually go rusty and snap.
-
Yep - drill out the 3 rivetts!
-
On a valver I think it would as the mechanical injection relies on vacumn.

FT will be fine! -
Heh - I think it's safe to say it's fooked!
-
If it hot starts ok then just change the part... still available from VW I would think

Welcome to the forum! That's the cold start valve or '5th injector' - it's most likely stuck open so when plugged in it's flooding the engine. The wiring looks a bit suspect too - you need to have a good tidy up and re-wrap some of the wires / make sure they are clipped in properly

Good man - make sure it's a decent quality M8x80 bolt (grade 8.8 and above) as you don't want it snapping! I remember doing the one on Dom's car agaes ago - use the ratchet spanners to get the tensioner bolts off as they will be tight and they give you good advantage. -
You need to be very careful with the piston / bore surface and not to get anything inside... maybe best left to a specialist
-
No idea what's going on here but the car is a set width so you'd never need shorter track rods.. What Car is it?? If it's not a VR are you sure it doesn't have the (longer) VR6 track rods fitted incorrectly?

I have brand new Mintex discs and pads - £100 + £10 postage
-
Yup - I picked a set up from Mr Crotch yesterday... £37+vat and look much better quality than the last set I bought around 6 years ago!
-
Have you not got Glass cover?
-
Looks great!!
-
Try Halfords mate - they supply Fox wheels
-
Why can't Stevie Wonder read? ...becuase he's black
-
It's not obselete mate - they wouldn't make a servicing grease obselete!!
-
£20 for a day ticket - ****takers!
-
And I have the same in a Corrado which is 25% lighter :-) 6 Spd would be nice on a VR but I reckon an LPG conversion is what you want...
-
What work were you doing??
-
You should be able to order one - usually a fiver from VW? Call another dealer or TPS centre - should be able to order it next day...
