  1. Vehicle Wiring Products is one place as most are a standard type of plug... Best off going to VW though really as the quality is better - or MK3 Golf in scrap yard?
  2. 205 Tyres only went on the 'Plus' cars with the extended track rods / WB's... I was buying Uniroyal Rainsport 1's in 195/50/15 a few years back for £25 each, think the new ones are £33 ish
  3. Yeah try spare key and also both ways round, shake the wheel...

Yeah, grab a new switch anyway (from VW) - you can plug it in to try without actually fitting it...
  5. ^ Yep -the glass clamp plus undo the wiring etc
  6. Trouble with doing it outside is you can't recycle the media as it will get damp and clog the gun... make sure you bag the cars air filter etc and make sure the house is airtight - stuff gets everywhere!
  7. Sorry mate, onlyu just seen this... what Comp do you have? I have one that is 8.5 CFM and it's fine for most stuff but not sand blasting big things - you need a CFM of 10-12 min
  8. You need a serious compressor to clean up stuff that's not alloy... and as said above the mess it makes is horrendous! It's a nice to have but I'd keep looking for a local company that can do it - a place near me doesn't mind what you give them and is very reasonable on price.
  9. Rear badge is available from Classic parts

Is the ignition switch black? - If not change it anyway!
  11. Nice, very good for a 115 too! Mines now done 112k miles - that's 101k in a Corrado chassis which is quite impressive and shows how good the conversion was...
  12. Just VR's and late 8v's for some 'Plus' parts fitted but were not widetrack like the VR
  13. 7 rivets IIRC - decent drill and metal bit is what you need!
  14. I don't right now but I'd just call VW - you won't get it anywhere else....
  15. VW didn't use the castleated nuts on 'Plus' suspension models. Bottom nuts must be changed as they are lock nuts and I would also buy the bolts for the sake of an extra few quid. Top mounts usually last around 60k so again always replace and don't use anything but genuine as pattern ones don't last 5 mins.
  16. Yep, as above... Original Aerials were made by Fuba or Bosch
  17. Have you tried the ATF flush trick on the tappets mate?? I sorted a friends MK3 1.8 8V which probably hadn't had an oil change in 3-4 years and was noisey as hell, did a change with 4 Ltrs of cheap tesco oil they had and 1/2 Ltr of ATF as a flush, ran up to temp on the drive and went for a thrash, then came back and did an oil and filter change with Synta - almost silent now, loads better especially at startup!

Also check the ECU relay - 109 I think
  19. Demon Tweeks or Halfords for Momo parts - Horn push is usually a tenner...
  20. It's usually the switch contacts if a late car...
  21. The sites been down for a while now, if you speak to Butterfly on here she should be able to advise you as I don't think the membership email address works either... The AGM is coming up soon too I think so you may be able to renew there if you're going.
  22. Yeah that Bentley pic is wrong for UK cars - it's all one piece, around £40 from VW
