Get the ol' girl running sweet first, mate. Your 15s will do for now whilst you get it running properly! Darren is the Guru. Use the force! He also has wheels coming out of his ears ;)
-
With 205 tyres, no. I have 215s on mine, which only rub when the car bottoms-out in swooping ditches, etc - so hardly ever. But then mine isn't lowered - so stick to 205 when lowering and you should be fine.
-
18in wheels will most likely need the arches rolling if you are doing a 35mm drop. The ride will also be very firm, as you'll have hardly any rubber between the wheel and the road! 18in wheels can make the car look a little wrong too... A bit too big.... 17in is the sweetest, along with a 30-40mm drop (mine isn't lowered, Jim) and will preserve your teeth on those roads ;)

Oh gawd - who let you on?? :) Welcome aboard, matey. Now you can stop ringing me everyday for advice... ;)

He did pose it as a question, not a statement. :)

My Lupo blade combo (original driver arm+blade and passenger arm+blade) setup is still going strong.... 2.5 years on!!
-
Fuel economy would probably be down, but the car would probably be pretty quick.
-
Flames are generally caused by over-fuelling, and more often than not when the timing has been advanced, causing the car to run richer. The airbox modification changing the amount of O2 being drawn into the engine, plus some lazy retardation by the engine, will cause the odd flame-burp.

Red=Fast, the other problem with doing as you've said, in the UK if you are involved in an accident and the inspectors find anything non-standard / illegal about your car, any claim you make will be thrown out. No insurance company will put it as a suitable mod, as they are illegal, so you VOID your insurance. Handy when you drive into another driver who was dazzled as you came over the brow of a hill, due to not having them setup correctly, killing their passenger, paralysing the other driver, writing off both cars, and you have to foot the bill. Yeah, I'll stick to my legal lights thanks ;)
-
Headlights have to be setup so they do not dazzle other users. Doesn't matter if they're pants... As for the HID-laws - all kits require special lenses, ballast, high-powered washer jets and self-levelling. You can't fit all that in ;) G60Jet is the know-all on this subject ;) (Plus, ahem, 'Use the search')

Except retro-fitting HID-kits is illegal in Europe....

Feck! Drivers Door Handle Bust! Repair or New???
Andi replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
daves16v does a repair kit. Or passat rear handle + mech is the by far cheaper option. Use the search ;) -
And the best car for 2004 should be the first Corrado of the Month, I feel ;)
-
My previous rad 'bulged' It was too fat to be removed the non-dismantling way, so they took the front end off to do the same as you. I have aircon rads in the way, etc too though, so its a little tighter ;) So yes, has happened before! Just a weird way for them to die I think.

Welcome to the forum! Interesting username you have there......

Might help if the turbo's pipes were connected.... And I thought the Rallye 4wd system could only manage 300bhp?

It is indeed. The artiiiist himself lol

Fitting climate control would probably be easier ;)

Anything to declare, sir? -
But at the same time admit you watch that pap? ;)

Shagged in a stock room yet? I did that with my teacher girlfriend of a couple of years ago ;) Classy 8) (Hmm, is this thread wise in the Members Gallery which doesn't self-prune :S)

I doubt very much its a true 201mph. I was sat waiting at the train station picking up the Mrs and my 'New' Road Angel went wandering off. I was doing 45mph at one point, whilst parked!! I'm sure its an oppurtune photo taken during a GPS glitch ;) Happens when its not quite locked on completely. Indicator on the far-right of the Road Angel's screen proves my point - it has no signal. It's a fake, ladies
