Just courting peoples opinions / feedback / ownership experiences, I do have a mind of my own but do not know it all so feel that other peoples views are very often quite helpful - please feel free to lock if this is now not allowed

Leonard - you're not supposed to say that. Drove the 156 this morning and was left a little underwhelmed, felt slow but the car is a lovely looking thing. My better half would love the 4Motion but is concerned about the mileage - doesn't overly concern me but it will be her car.

Dilemma going on here - head or heart Car 1 is Stan 24v Golf 4Motion - high mileage (142k) but in lovely condition and I'd feel happy buying from someone I'd know or Car 2 is a 2001 Alfa 156 2.0TS, silver, Veloce spec (teledial alloys, side skirts etc), FSH, full leather, 12 months warranty, 78k on the clock, drives really nicely for exactly the same money or Car 3 is an ex Press Alfa 166 3.0 manual, fully loaded (I mean everything on it), 55k on the clock for the same as either of the above Really can't decide so appreciate some views / experiences etc

I couldn't agree more, it was superb to see so many black kids being interviewed on the news today about Hamilton - he is a superb role model and shows that if you have the talent then skin colour should not be a barrier. I still think the media are wrong to keep homing in on his colour, we all know he is black, we all know that he's a great driver. If Hamilton doesn't win the title next year will the title winner be declared as the first white world champion since 2007 - I think not

Is anyone else finding the media constantly commenting on the fact that he is the first black World Champion really distasteful - I see him as a great racing driver - the colour of his skin is immaterial

...being driven mad by a potential buyer for Sarahs Saab. He is insisting that head gasket replacement is required on 9-5 Aero's due to them using fully synthetic oil and he is concerned that it has not been replaced on our's. I always assumed that a head gasket is best left alone and only needs replacing if it fails or the head has to be removed for any reason - am I thinking right here because I'm starting to doubt myself. I'm not sure I want to sell to this bloke - he is displaying all of the traits of being a royal pain in the ar**

Luck, whether gifted, created or manufactured will always play a part. Massa had a great deal of luck this year in terms of crazy FIA decisions, it was nice to see Lewis get some. No disrespect to Massa, if Hamilton had not have won I would have been happy to see Massa win the title

As an ownership proposition the Audi, as a driving experience the BMW

Briefly owned an early 16V - packed full of Italian character, tracking was a nightmare, needing to be done every month. Not as fast as you'd think - iconic car but like most iconic cars its not as good as you remember them to be.

Worth more than 3k to the right person - I bought a G60 for a German girl recently, 67k on the clock, highly original and she was happy to pay in excess of 4k - all depends how quickly you want to sell

Apparently the Stewards have discovered that Lewis Hamilton is wearing beige underpants for the race, as this contravenes Rule 158, subsection 167, sub subsection 23, clause 23.9 he will be subject to a drive through penalty.
