    IN.PRO Lights

Probably best to use the Search function as there have been a lot of topics on them. I had a set fitted to my Corrado - bought them specifically to improve the light output rather than for looks. Had HIDs fitted and the output was superb - 100 times better than the original lights. Most seem to come in set up for LHD buts its a 5 min job to convert them to RHD. They do not come with height adjusters, if you are lucky you might be able to extract the ones out of your current lights, I took the easy route and bought a couple of new ones, standard Corrado adjusters are what you need. Quality is fine, fit using the existing fixtures.
  2. I did indeed have one fitted - a real b**** to fit, no idea of the dimensions though
  3. Just doing the original 16" rims off Sarahs 4Motion. Pretty scabby with bad lacquer peel and bits of corrosion all over the place, fortunately no chunks missing. Doing them in dark metallic grey and will be used as winter wheels so am not too fussed about a top quality finish but pleasantly surprised at the results, my process has been: Rub down with 200 grade w+d Coat of grey primer followed by flat down with 600 grade w+d Two coats of satin black followed by flat down with 1200 grade w+d Two coats of top coat followed by flat down with 2400 grade w+d - allowed to harden for at least 24 hours Two coats of lacquer - allowed to harden for 48 hours Two coats of Poorboys wheel sealant then a couple of coats of Collinite
  4. Love the Concept R and The Lincoln Continental concept by Gerry McGovern (one of the finest British designers of modern times)
  5. Jaguar made a crazy decision with the F Type - shall we make a sexy, affordable two seater sports car that will have a halo effect on the whole brand or make a saloon on a Mondeo that looks s***, drives worse than the car its based on and costs more
  6. Thats too cheap to be genuine
  7. I'd go for an S3 rather than a TT if you wanted to stick with VAG product - always thought the TT, in MK1 guise anyway was more form over function - can't argue with you on the feeling of quality you get though
  8. Not my cup of tea but if you like them thats all that matters
  9. Thing I love about the MK4 is the interior quality, really feels like a quality product, the looks are subtle but a couple of simple and reversible mods can soon set it apart from others. Did over 400 miles in it yesterday, nearly half where across country and got out feeling totally fresh and ache free. The V6 burble is addictive is well, especially now the Milltek has settled in, gives a really nice metallic rasp between 3k and 4k.
  10. Danny B - yes, do all claying, paint prep and polishing / sealing / waxing myself - very theraputic vwdeviant - the interior trim is much better in the plastic - four layers of satiin black, followed by two coats of very subtle metallic black topped off with four coats of lacquer. Wheels are definitely a marmite choice but prefer to do that than play it too safe
  11. Far too many previous cars to mention but here is a small selection of some recent ones (from the last five years or so):
  12. Danny b - the wheels are still growing on me, not the style I usually settle for at all - due to their design they look bigger than 18" but I think theynwork well against the blue bodywork. Car is totally clayed now, bonnet has been de-swirled and has its first coat of wax on, rest of the bodywork is totally dent free but quite badly swirled so theres a lot of work to do before its to a standard that I'll be happy with
  13. Quick update - fitted the new wheels temporarily whilst I give the originals a quick refurb and slap of dark grey paint, fitted the W8 interior light, Anniversary headlights, Fabia rear wiper, small homage to the Nugget (anyone spot it?) and started to bring the paintwork back (why is Mk4 paint so damned tough) - then went out and got it well and truly dirty :D
  14. Perfect car would be a VR with a 24V lump in it. Driven a few 12V VR's and whilst impressive the 24V is in a different league.
  15. I don't think its the Volvo / Ford engine but it is definitely a straight 5. Some rumours suggest that when it goes in to the TT RS next year it will be both supercharged and turbocharged, others say it will be a single turbo - both sources seem to indicate about 330 - 345 bhp though

    Faded plastic trim

Poorboys Trim Restorer as Jim said but even that is topped by this: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... hp?t=69525 Not cheap at £23 for 15ml but its about what it does rather than how much you need. One bottle did two cars.
  17. Usually some good reviews on the latest rounds in Volkswagen Driver - perhaps AutoMetrix (the publisher) would be able to point you in the right direction
  18. I have an All Smiles carbon fibre one if you're interested, had the cut out done for the wiper motor - perfect condition and a lot cheaper than the SWG one
  19. djmac56's colour is Jewish Racing Beige, don't notmally like it but suits the three door shape and the wheels really well
  20. ...but I think its very appealling. Reminds me of the Alfa SZ, so ugly that it becomes attractive http://www.spadavetturesport.com/codatronca_ts2008.html
  21. Jon_vr6 - its really easy, rub back a touch, grey primer and satin / gloss black topped off with some lacquer - I do wonder why I spent over £300 on the R32 aluminium trim on the Bora now, should have just sprayed it. I didn't object to the walnut with the beige trim but think the black looks better
  22. Its a nice car, best bit is definitely the engine - I can see why there are 24V Corrado conversions - to me that would be pretty much the perfect car. The 4Mo is great but its not special like a C is special
  23. Leonard - the car is on FK Konigsports and 17" x 7" Team Dynamic Pro Race 2's with 205/45's
  24. KipVR - a couple of interior shots as promised. Cleaned the leather with some products from a new supplier LTT, awesome stuff, leather is now lovely and soft. Really pleased with how the old walnut trim has responded to a splash of black paint - much more in keeping with the car.
