  1. I know, why anyone would want (or need) a Cayenne and a Discovery is beyond me
  2. I got talking to her, obviously seriously loaded husband, he'd just bought a Cayenne and a Discovery
  3. Nice to see a really smart Nugget - you're showing off with the sunroof slid back though!!!!
  4. ...was in a VW site yesterday and whilst I was waiting for the Brand Manager, I observed a conversation that I found staggering. Woman walked in (40'ish but trying to look like a 20 year old) and asked if they had any "fast" Golfs in stock. Sales exec tried to qualify but was obviously stumped when she said its got to be new and blue - no other requirements. Obviously spotting an opportunity he told her about an R32 they had in stock - 5 door, DSG, leather, sat nav etc etc, he quoted full list price She asked for a value on her 55 plate Mini Cooper, he gave her a value of £8500, way under book value I could not believe it when she just took out her credit card, said she'd have the R32 and asked if she could pick it up on Saturday, not only did he not have a test drive she hadn't even seen the car!!!!!! Dealer made a fortune out of the deal - can't say I blame them for taking advantage of the situation either
  5. Reckon it would fetch a chunk more than 6k over here - I'd certainly buy it at that money and think I'd got a bargain
  6. Although I hate to admit it something like this would hold a lot of appeal to me: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/151403.htm
  7. Oh no :? , another what exhaust thread
  8. After doing much reading this evening I decided to play safe and purchase a Porter Cable from Autopia in the US, much cheaper when bought with polishes, extra pads etc than it would be in the UK and they have a great reputation for great customer service
  9. I enquired with In-Pro when I bought mine and they said that they weren't going to produce lenses on their own - I put Lamin-X on mine to help protect them.
  10. Been tempted to invest in a machine polisher for a while now - those Silverline ones look pretty good for the money, couldn't really justify a Porter.
  11. I admire the guys efforts but he definitely seems to have an obsessive streak, I wish my house was 10% as immaculate as his garage
  12. Interesting, I (along with Jim) were approached by a bloke at Ultimate Dubs wanting to sell the number plate, was adamant that it was G60 CC and not G6 OCC, I was dubious to say the least, think he wanted 2.5k for the plate :?
  13. God help him when he gets a stone chip http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewt ... 865&page=1
  14. Bonnet bra if for practical rather than aesthetic reasons :-P
  15. _Leon_ - - The guage pod is from SWG, great fit and puts the boost guage more in the line of sight. Battery cover is from http://www.carbonmods.co.uk - good quality item for not a lot of money CrazyDave - All cars are washed every week without fail, copius amounts of polish and wax means they are pretty easy to keep on top of, apart from the Passat thats doing about 1,000 miles per week at the moment
  16. Yes, got a big custom made Forge intercooler. The R23 badge I put on the Bora for a bit of fun, amazing how many people ask me how many were made :D
  17. Sold the Cabby tonight - a colleague of Sarahs came round to give us a price on some building work - asked what was under the car cover, showed him and he wrote a cheque out there and then - never sold a car so easily. Cabby had to go, checked how many miles it had done since its MOT last July - 410 and that includes driving it up from Canterbury when I bought it - shame to have it just sitting their. Want to treat the Nugget to something with some of the cash but not sure what yet
  18. Not often all the cars are clean at the same time so thought I'd grab a few pics
  19. I've got a bit of their stuff - very good - will certainly buy more
  20. Fantastic advert - make sure you have the sound switched on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qT_q8PXFrw Acceleration on the Bugatti is incredible http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Fdb8FdXfPU
  21. The TVR section on Pistonheads would be a good place to seek advice
  22. Chimaera's have the reputation as being the most reliable TVR ever produced. 4.5 is best compromise between power and relaibility, the last 5.0's were a lot more fragile. As with everything you need a comprehensive service history with a recognised dealer / specialist. Trim is fragile but mechanically pretty bulletproof. Had a few friends with Chims who "upgraded" to Tuscans and T350's and all regretted it.
  23. As my dad always used to say "Better 15 mins in this life than 30 years early in the next" Poor guy but probably would not have stood a better chance in any other car, theres no degree to being dead is there. I have driven in excess of 1 million miles in the 21 years since I've passed my test and seen a lot of nasty accidents, fortunate enough never to have been involved in one but can't help worrying than the odds are not in my favour on a going forward basis
  24. Some new pics, decided that this year I need to get the engine bay looking cleaner, also due a good coat of wax but reasonably happy with how she's looking at the moment
  25. Ooops, yes, it is the 915 I've ordered, hopefully get it on next weekend, just about to start the clay bar treatment - well, after Moto GP has finished
