    R32

Much prefer the looks of the MK4 R32 - timeless in a way that the Leon and MK5 never will be
  2. From what I've heard and seen there is a big difference between getting the handles to work and getting them to work really smoothly - best ones I've seen were the ones on Woody's G60
  3. Take list and subtract about 12.5%
  4. I wouldn't discount the Passat. More car (metal) for your money, you only have to look at the Passat Forums to see how good they can look, arguably the best built Volkswagen of recent times, permanent four wheel drive etc. I have driven a few Golf V6 4Motions and agree that they are a damn good car and pretty underrated - by the same token I wouldn't say that a Passat Syncro / 4Motion drives any worse - the Audi V6 doesn't sound as good as the VR though
  5. Definitely going to this - didn't think I'd see cars like this in action again
  6. Interesting conversations with a number of Volkswagen Sales Managers over the last couple of days: Interest in the Edition 30 GTi is low and discounts will be available New R32's now available from stock, most sites have been forced to order at least 4 each - needless to say, discounts are freely available, in fact one site I know said they'd be prepared to sell at less than cost just to get rid Amazing how quickly demand for new models evaporate
  7. Stan Do what I did and have the best of both worlds - keep the Rado and get a Passat. Maybe I was lucky with my Passat V6 Syncro but I got it for £2400, FSH (and some big recent bills) but could not bring myself to sell the Nugget. The Passat is a lovely comfy barge BUT it is a barge, but perhaps no more so than a MK4 Golf. Even with (far from cheap) Eibach springs and dampers and 18" rims it still rolls a fair bit. Fantastic car for longer journeys and it grips amazingly well (as the bloke in front of me in the Boxster in the twisties will testify to this morning :D ). Economy isn't great, I'm averaging 27mpg, God knows what a charged one would tumble to. You're welcome to have a decent drive of mine if it will help you
  8. Just ordered one of these after reading some very good reviews on Pistonheads - anyone else got one http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/ Reviews http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/to ... 344237&h=0
  9. Exactly what a good Corrado should look like - very subtle
  10. Incredibly easy to programme, just set your preferred lower and upper limits and the electronics sort out the intermediate lights. Can re-programme whenever you want and also switch off totally if you want / need to

    in-pro headlights

    Yes, H7's all-round for the In-Pro's
  12. I'm ssuspecting the fuel pump relay purely because I couldn't hear the typical relay "click" when turning the ignition on and the engine over Not checked that the fifth injector stops squirting, after initially starting it and then it dying I couldn't get it to re-start and then had to go out. Stupid question but where will I find the aux air valve?
  13. Megafactories - all about the building of a Ferrari Got to be worth a look
  14. Timg60 - yes I have but had no reply Got a feeling this is going to be a time consuming and trial and error thing to identify and sort out
  15. Checked the fifth injector and thats working fine. On checking the fuel pump relay I discovered that its clearly not OE as it has no fuse built-in to it - would a faulty fuel pump rleay permit the car to start initially and then die shortly afterwards? Going to change this anyway. Will replace the fuel filter as well. Any other suggestions? Tempest - yes it is a DX engine
  16. Started it again this morning - idled perfectly for the first two minutes and then died, will crank over no problem but won't catch - trying to think it through logically and will check the fuel pump relay (heard they can be tempremental), 5th injector and then the fuel filter - any other suggestions??
  17. The standard Corrado Revell kit always seem to be the hardest one to track down, I've got two each of the Zender and Rallye but took me ages to get a standard one for sensible money
  18. More info here http://www.xtreme-uk.net/NewsArticle.as ... details=70
  19. ....I quite like the look of it
  20. When starting initially it ran for a couple of minutes, re-starting subsequently it will run if revs are kept up but dies the instant you release the throttle to let it idle.
  21. Looks like a quality job. Did consider losing the roof gutters on the Nugget but decided against it - the colour needs to be broken up by some black
  22. Slight problem with the wifes 1986 MK1 GTi Cab. Off the road for winter but regularly started and moved around to keep everything nice andworking as it should. Started her up today and settled to a nice steady idle - after a couple of minutes it just died. No problems with re-starting but it kept on dying. Theres about 1/4 tank of fuel in her. Any suggestions as to where I should start would be gratefully received.
  23. Sample 4. Research has shown that peoples attention is always drawn to the bottom right hand corner of a document - you're clearly better having your contact details there
  24. Considering a set of H&R anti-roll bars for my G60, car is running on FK Konigsports and 17" rims - are they a worthwhile upgrade
