  1. Jim - mine is an awful long way from being perfect so we'll let the side down together - we can say that they are representative of cars that are used on a regular basis and enjoyed
  2. Yan - lots of things have changed on it since then - really pleased I made the decision to go back to the OE front bumper, looks a lot better balanced than before
  3. ....trying to get ready for Ultimate Dubs but rapidly running out of time. Fitted new front and rear seats Fitted resprayed OE front bumper and 90mm spoiler Fitted In-Pro indicators and fogs Just got to fit the rebuilt charger and give it a damned good clean and should be ready - definitely not a show car but I'm happy with it
  4. My wife is an only one and has already vowed that when the day comes to claim her inheritance (hopefully not for a good few years yet) she'll buy a Cerbera, after the Chimera probably the most reliable TVR ever (admittedly not saying much)
  5. Having been through the same with my dad last year so I know that the car is going to be scant compensation. Having said that I'm sure your dad would be pleased to see that you're having fun with your inheritance and as you said, living for the moment If you need more pages for the folder you can order them from here: http://www.classicfolios.com
  6. Parkers Price Guide - anyone who looks at this to gain an idea of a cars value really does need their head testing. Why, I was at a motor industry dinner last year and just happened to sit next to a sub-editor of this esteemed publication and an interesting discussion ensued re: their valuations of vehicles. Unfortunately for me he put his hands up almost immediately and caved in - in fact he was happy to admit "We're in the business of selling magazines not valuing cars accurately" Surely in a free market economy people are entitled to advertise their products at whatever they feel they can realise from a sale, if a product is worth what a customer is prepared to pay then who can possibly argue that it's over-priced. Cars like MK2 Golfs and Corrados are now at the cusp of being deemed collectable by some people and as just an old VW by others - a friend of mine has just paid 4k for a MK2 Oak Green 3 door (small bumper) - he feels as if he's got a good buy because of its overall condition and potential future value - I for one would not like to suggest he paid over the odd's. I know one of the cars currently for sale via Volkswizard, admittedly for more than the owner sold it for - but the mark-up is far from what I would deem to be excessive. Just my humble take on things :?
  7. Very nice Any plans for it or just drive and enjoy?

  9. The one I drove is a Volkswagen Group management car, the lucky sod who's got it pays £120 per month for it and a fixed £50 per month company car tax on it, one of the main perks of working for a manufacturer I suppose
  10. One of the all time great car chases, apparently filmed with no image trickery at all
  11. The S6 was really disappointing, was expecting fireworks from the V10 but it was way more refined than I expected, love to see that engine in the lighter A4 body and with a manual box. The RS4 on the other hand was stunning, if I had 50k to spend on a car then I could not think of a better way to spend it. Fabulous build quality, superb interior, hard man looks, great steering (not just good for an Audi but genuinely full of feel), awesome seats and an engine to die for, incredible low end grunt and American muscle car exhaust end combined with an uncanny ability to whip round to 8k with a banshee wail Totally smitten with it
  12. I'd love an RS2 Avant but never been too keen on the S2, most road tests seem to reckon that it was very soft in terms of responses whereas the RS2 was a totally different animal
  13. Had several people wanting to buy it but looks like JMR will take it off me as a spare - should cover the cost of the rebild on my spare charger so will work out pretty well for me
  14. I've never regretted buying mine - in fact at 2 1/2 years I have never owned a car for as long
  15. Looks like Mr Masters workshop - you'll be lucky to get it back for Ultimate Dubs :D
  16. ....popped over to see the G60 in the bodyshop in advance of collecting tomorrow. Owner of the place asked me if I knew it was leaking oil - it has been completely oil tight since buying it two and a half years ago but apparently it has been steadily dropping oil for the past week and a half while its been in the bodyshop Hope its just the drain plug or oil filter, in the meantime just been and bought an oil drip tray
  17. There are already ones on E-Bay that are running BBS rims - stupid prices though http://url.the-corrado.net/d0913a
  18. That was an early design study, might even have been the one that was mooted to have the V18 in it, if I'm not mistaken you'll have seen that at the Volkswagen Group showroom in the street not far from the Brandenberg Gate, that car has been there for at least four years
  19. I'm glad I got it serviced by JMR because we discovered that the oil seals had not been replaced by Jabba during their rebuild on it
  20. Twin turbo, bi-turbo, sequential turbo - not an exact science in terms of how they are described. The 335i BMW is set-up as Henny describes a bi-turbo but BMW call it sequential turbocharging
  21. It was serviced by JMR - was going to get it rebuilt but car not back from bodyshop as planned today so decided to get my spare rebuilt instead.
  22. Just about to have my spare charger rebuilt and decided to sell the one thats currently on the car. R1 spec by Jabbasport - fully serviced 25k ago and treated very gently since. What should I expect to get for it - don't want to be greedy but don't want to give it away either
  23. Own(ed) two G60's and driven a few VR6's and they are very different. I don't think you can say definitively ones better than the other - so much depends on what you're looking for. I love the smoothness and sound of the VR but also love the noise of the G60. Personally I think the G60 handles better, less nose heavy than the VR but again thats nothing that couldn't be addressed. As above, drive both and see which you prefer
  24. Wonder if I can find a model supply company that makes 1/18 scale G60 engines to replace that nasty, heavy VR6 lump :D
