  1. ...made contact with someone (recommended to me by a customer) re: a better spec head for the Nugget. Just picked up this message: "A stage 1 flowed g60 head would be £180 this will flow about 20% better which involves mostly enlarging the exhaust ports and removing all other ridges restrictions from all the ports, then i swirl finish the inlets for extra turbulence which provides better combustion (polishing actually reduces the turbulence of the inlet gases) i polish the exhaust ports because the exhaust gases need to be expelled and do not need to be turbulent, this also includes my own special mod to the head that provides a better spray pattern from the injectors, gti/g60 heads really benefit from this. better suited to a g60 would be a stage 2 which involves further enlarging the exhaust ports right to the gaskets and enlarging the inlets which will flow a further 15% better then a stage 1 this would be £280" Obviously done on an exchange basis and does not include fitting but seems like very good value for money
  2. ....made by Minichamps so sure to be decent quality, 1/43 scale in red Link to stockist here, I've ordered mine http://www.carinabox.com/index.cfm?fuse ... t_ID=10832
  3. 1.8 16V was available in the UK :D Lovely clean looking car you have there
  4. .....loved James Hunt for his refusal to do what was expected of him, Mansell for proving that determination can overcome raw talent, Senna for his pure genius behind the wheel and his compassion off the circuit but probably admire Mike Hailwood more than anyone else. Just watched the new Duke DVD of his career / life and the blokes talent and bravery was unbelievable, poor wife was in tears watching it as she was his daughters best friend at the time that they were killed
  5. How much is "really cheap" and for how long. If its low monthly payment Volkswagen are soon to be doing the Fox at £135 down, £135 per month plus free servicing
  6. Have to admit that the Nugget is the only car I've ever owned that I will never ever sell, just about the perfect car to me
  7. Must admit to being quite happy with the current fleet
  8. JMR's 16VG60 is an awesome sounding car - even at tickover
  9. A G60 with a nice free flowing exhaust and toothed belt drive can sound half reasonable
  10. ....just been looking through mine and can't believe the number of bits and pieces in there, anyone else got a similar hoard of parts
  11. No reason why it shouldn't be - as long as the box itself will fit
  12. The book arrived earlier this week, must admit its bigger than I thought and glad I bought it - pity I can't read German
  13. Not too bad, like the fact its more aggressive than pretty, still be bought by women and hairdressers though
  14. Won't be holding my breath for something that is better looking than the original.
  15. 10/10 for effort, looking forward to seeing the finished article
  16. That is one Yank tank I'd love to own http://www.autocollections.com/index.cf ... =inventory
  17. If its an original E30 M3 they were never made in RHD form, some were converted in the UK but weren't considered to have steering anything like as good as the proper LHD set-up. If its an E36 M3 there were a damned sight more than 50 made in RHD
  18. The Veyron at MK was sat next to a Gallardo SE and Murcielago, the quality of the Bug was incredible, mind you I'd expect it to be at the price, apparently the 2007 spec cars are going to be subject to a 100k Euro price increase.
  19. I'll see if I can find out if VW at Milton keynes are planning on having another Veyron on display in their foyer, last I heard they were planning to repeat the exercise of a couple of months ago. Ford no longer own the rights to the GT40 name, they sold it to JW Automotive back in the 80's so the new GT40 is officially labelled the GT, wouldn't be right to call it the GT40 anyway, its 2" taller than the original
  20. Thought I'd resurrect this one with the car below - I really wanted one of these when they were current
  21. I'll ask him if he's got any lying around - seems like the cabrio version is the easiest to find
  22. No, now have a contact who gives me first refusal on anything Corrado related that comes in to stock
  23. Thats two different dioramas now, neither of which I have ever seen before
