  1. They will want you to be big on maintaining high standards of customer service and determined to follow up customers. Some basic pointers for you: 1. Ask what Lead / Diary Management system they have in place, if you're lucky they'll use e-GoodManners which is the VW brand standard requirement 2. Ask what there current conversion ratio is - industry average is 1 sale to every 5 prospects spoken to 3. Find out what training is on offer 4. Find out what the current sales teams individual targets are and what yours will be 5. Will you be inheriting someone elses contact / customer list or will you be starting from scratch 6. Do they have a documented sales process 7. Will you get involved in Finance and Insurance, if you do what is their procedure for getting you deemed "competent" under the scope of current FSA regulations 8. Make sure you let them know that you are very organised and precise with paperwork They will not expect loads of detailed product knowledge but perhaps you should know: 1. In excess of 70% of UK S Class sales are of the 3.2 litre diesel 2. R and G class models are bulit in Alabama alongside the ML 3. Most RHD C class saloons are manufactured in South Africa Good luck, success in car sales is not difficult, 90% of sales execs make a straightforward job far more difficult than it needs to be
  2. Nothing like a clear, concise report on the state of your engine based entirely on a conversation - I'd suggest taking your car to someone else
  3. I'm really not liking this fake chrome grill thing thats going on at Volkswagen, seems like a tacky way of trying to make the cars look more expensive. Sad to say that Golf GTi excepted the current range leaves me cold, even more frustrating when I have to look at the things all day
  4. Should have said word in JMRs workshop, popped down to Halfords today and I was told they are expecting stock in a variety of blade lengths in the next few weeks
  5. He had two copies, I paid £75 for the one he had left - he also threw in one of the Karmann keychains
  6. I have got my copy from the guy in Holland (as above thread) - not at the price he lists, hes definitely not the cheapest to buy from but his struff is always as described and he's usually happy to cut a bit of a deal. Managed to get one of the Herpa 50 Million Volkswagen sets off him for £17 which was an absolute steal.
  7. Paid for my HIDs for the In Pro's and got the Milltek fitted to the Bora, absolutely awesome exhaust note now
  8. Word on the street is that Bosch are about to introduce Aero wipers that are a direct replacement for the standard wiper blades.
  9. Try telling that to the typical Volkswagen sales exec, the ones I've been training over the last couple of weeks all reckon that it will appeal to exactly the kind of customers who bought Corrados - found it difficult not to laugh at them
  10. Don't know if its any good yet, sould be delivered early next week
  11. They are much better looking in the metal than in pictures, managed to have a good look at one this week - still nothing like as good as a Rado though
  12. I've just acquired a copy, pity it was only ever printed in German
  13. I swopped over the interior light of my other halfs Bora for one from a Passat W8 that has the two red LED downlighters, very straightforward and effective
  14. Very nice, I love silver Rado's How many miles ago was the charger rebuilt. My Nugget's charger had been rebuilt by Jabba only 12k before I bought it, I got it checked over anyway and glad I did, the rebuild was terrible, might be worth having yours checked just for peace of mind.
  15. That looks like it would have been scary, did you manage to keep it in a straight line?
  16. Got my eye on a couple, for some reason I'm fancying a Tornado Pink one, I'd still love Brefords but more than I want to spend
  17. Got a craving to pick up a cheap Valver that needs some TLC, do I need to see a doctor
  18. Red valver (I think) turning at the lights near Two Mills Honda in Chester this afternoon
  19. I got one, I have heard that 19 RHD Nugget G60's were imported - had the same number from a couple of sources now
  20. I easily get 300 miles out of a tankful, MFA showing 38mpg over the last 3000 miles, I know this is inaccurate, working it out manually I'm getting about 34mpg and its not driven particularly gently
  21. I'm not convinced on the colour at all, the rest of the car stacked up so well I couldn't say no, most people seem to like it and it does seem to be quite a rare colour on Bora's
  22. Just standard 18", did consider 19" but tyre costs are stupid and ride would be unbearable
  23. I don't like the mudflaps but its a daily driver and they certainly seem to cut down on the crap thats thrown up
  24. I've always preferred the looks of the Bora over the Golf, better equipped and a lot cheaper as well. Must admit the Konigsports and new anti roll bar have transformed the handling, can't wait to get the Milltek on, I've never heard a V5 with a Milltek, just hoping it gives it a nice deep growl Looks wise I'm definitely taking G-Mans Passat as inspiration, I love that car
  25. Tough decision for you, as has already been said they are very different cars. Prior to Corrados I had two Racing Pumas which in many ways were very similar to the ITR, at one point I had both my G60 Rado and a FRP, I chose to sell the FRP and have not regretted it for a minute. Every day usage I reckon you'll love the VR6, when you really want the full on thrill you'll miss the ITR
