Love the "Big Healeys", pretty nippy for their time and getting expensive now

I had a 2.2 JTS, direct injection 4 pot. The V6 is not the old V6, its based on a Holden V6 but extensively reworked, supposed to be a very good engine, the problem is that the old V6 was a GREAT engine -

That was the concept version but the actual thing is pretty damned close, just a pity it doesn't drive as well as it looks -

Absolutely stunning car, very good build quality, very refined but feels so big and heavy compared to the Rado, even makes the Bora feel like a lightweight. Reminds me of any Audi, great to have sat on your drive but not so great to drive -

Agree, having my injectors cleaned by JMR later this month, apparently makes a big difference to the car, mine must be pretty iffy after 115,000 miles -

Best person to speak to is Woody, his G60 was re-mapped by Ray West late last year, he is very happy with the results -
About £350-£400 for a standard rebuild, about £100-£150 more for a Stage 4 rebuild, G-Werks or JMR are the best bets, used JMR myself twice and top quality, G-Werks have a cast iron reputation as well

Really fancying a G40 as a bit of a toy, been offered a FSH, totally standard one, two owners from new, 104,000 miles and apparently a real minter How much would you think its worth, I can get it for £2,350

Got those on my Nugget, no negatives to them at all, mine sit on top of the plastic sills

Could this please be locked, I don't come on to the forum to read posts that are rapidly degenerating into personal slanging matches, if people want to do this why can't it be done via PM - its not big and its not clever -
The road in the second picture down looks like fun, whereabouts in The Lakes was it

Yes, ran an E46 320i Coupe for two years, not the worst car I have ever owned but without a doubt the worst ownership experience ever, car was not reliable, lots of niggling little things and dealers couldn't care less, was left with the feeling that I didn't matter as I was "only" a 3 series driver. Experience compounded by the work I have done with several BMW sites over the last twelve months - all displayed an unbelievable level of arrogance, summed by one particular site in Anglia last december "We don't need to follow up potential customers - we know EVERYBODY wants to drive a BMW therefore they will come to us" - I personally never want to be associated with a brand where the people who represent the brand display such attitudes

Friend of mine go a superb re-trim, all seats plus doorcards for £1200, top quality job with custom work done on the door cards - I think a benchmark figure is as pkripper says - £1k
-
Front and rear door cards too. Thts fairly local to me and if she wants to do an interior as a dry run (and at a discount) I'd be interested

Passat V6 4Motion estate - classy, discreet, quick and cheap, for 12k you could even get into a W8
-
Reckon it will be popular with the Corsa / Saxo boys, when combined with blue LED washer jets and a bean can its bound to give them another 50BHP

Must remember to try some when I'm next down in Milton Keynes http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/to ... 3&t=263364
