Gutted mate, I reckon it;s the Devon air. We gotta meet up sometime, I'll make the trip up to South Molton one day next week.

i swear someone, probably all smiles, do a carbon fibre full length scuttle panel cover?

New Ford's aren't too bad, my first car was a Focus, and although being underpowered, the handling was fantastic as was ride quality. If it's quick too that's always a bonus.

I agree on the front spoiler, the guage pods, and a load of body panels. Doors (with some sort of impace protection would be nice, I've seen some for a Civic which were just completely hollow...) wings, tailgate, bonnet...

Bollocks. Got there before me.

Nah don't get them. Lol! &.5 is the width of the wheel, 215/40/17 is the tyre description. The first set of numbers, be it 185/195/255 lol, is the profile(thickness) of the tyre in mm. The second lot is the width of the tyre. The lower the number the lower the width, and it works in percentage of the size of the wheel, so my tyres are 215mm thick, and the width is 40% of 17 inches. You can just lower it on springs, it depends on how many miles your shocks have done, if they're knackered then the ride quality will be rubbish. You can get a full fixed suspension set up, a set of "sports" dampers/shocks and a set of lowering springs, which will be better matched than lowering springs/standard shocks, or you can get coilovers, which allow you to adjust your ride height, but you pay more for these. Lowerings springs SHOULD be fine, depending on the state of your shocks.

Says he with a 747 wing attached lol So my cars chav is it? at least i doesnt look like every other corrado on the planet. Heard the phrase "each to there own"? Just for me then, can someone make me a rear spoiler in burberry? :D Edit: Please keep it civil eh? - dinkus

Yeah black ones may suit it, and I know I'm contradicting mself a little here, but black with a polished lip will look good, they are just gettinga little common now. 17's will fit, with no problems whatsoever, I'm running 17x7.5 and lowered around 40mm, no rubbing or anything. Tyres are 215/40/17, not too bad a ride really. Have a look round the cars on here, see what style you like, but bear in mind theres a few wheel whores on here, and some wheels are uber-expensive. Also, in case yo udidn't already know the wheel pattern you should be looking for is 4x100.

I think I have the clangers in my engine bay!

Just check it over to make sure it's all on properly, no air leaks, but yeah a whistle is normal. -
I live in North Devon so I didn't get the worst of the weather here, like they did in mid Cornwall, but it was good enough. The pictures here are from round near my girlfriend's house which is 15 or so miles inland, whereas I live next to the coast so it didn't settle as well here. The state of some of the roads round near my girlfriends, the drive was.....fun. I pulled over to take this picture, and yup, got stuck. Tip - park in the middle of the road when it's snowing, not the side of it. There were a group of people sledding down this hill, in a sled, obviously. Well, I lied, they were actually in kayaks, about 3 of them,. but none of my pics came out well! Gutted. Rolling on 30's.

Get the JVC, my mate has one of the 5101's, though he says get the new version which is the 6101 and has all the bits the 5101 doesnt. He recommends it highly though, and is very happy with his headunit.

I like Sonic Blue (The Subaru Blue), but not sure how it would look. Try doing it a non-VW colour, make it stand out a bit. Or even maybe one of the pastelly blues the have on Lupo's and the like? They're quite nice, if a bit girly....
-
Hahaha.."I did it first " lol
-
I agree that they look good I just think that in 6 months time the look might have been cheapened a bit by people having them on Corsa's, Saxo's et al. Even saying that though I'm in two minds as to whether to get my wheels done if I get the car sprayed black.
-
I bet you stink.
-
Agreed. ;) Oh, and the good parking by both cars as well. :D
-
At a rough guess, I'd say "fun"...? Ignoring the point there's a huge accident waiting to happen there, that does look like a good laugh. The guy in the red Corolla GT needs a bit of solo track time - not just to hone his technique, but also to stop him killing anyone else! This also proves that not just anyone can get into the over-hyped AE86 and become Keiichi Tsuchiya. There is driver skill involved too.

760bhp Corrado (that's 760BHP....at the wheels!)
Ronan replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Here's a comment then. Can it go round corners? Apart from that sly dig at drag cars.... JESUS! I would look through the 5 pages for the specs of the engine but...meh, I can;t be bothered. -
Hmm sadly I hve to agree, VW haven't put there stamp on the markey by creating something unique, have just copied designs out there already A lot of modern cars all have the same kind of shape/style though, the new pedestrian regulation things mean that car design now is mega bland and theres not really a lot of unique car designs any more. It sucks.

Golf? I thought it was a Pug 307. Get them confused easily. ;) :D
-
Put in in between those two, deck it! Have most of the rear tire in the arch, you'll be fine!
-
Nah thats not what I meant, I like BBS RS rims. What i meant was that it is becoming a trend for people to have black rims with a polished lip, just like everyone had Venoms way back. I know its been around in the Dub scene for a while and they still look good, but I wouldnt want to have some if it became tainted by the brush of chavdom. I wasnt slating the RS'!
-
Why do I need educating? Have a look around, every little chav has black wheels with a polished lip on their car.
