looking at the diagram for the arz, pin 53 is for the Air mass meter, with a quick look I'd say you need to connect the tacho to pin 37. The cluster from a 2.0 9A (assumably with electric speedo) will be fine taking the tacho straight of the ECU without the convertor, mine works fine with an AGU ECU Have a look here for the drawings https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_V9-6xfgGlINzhhM2IyNmItOWRhZS00MzBkLTk2MTEtNGIyZDFmMDg0NWM2

I wish I still had access to a lathe or a mill

Had my 'What drives us course' yesterday. The attendees seemed to mainly be people that had jumped a red light but there was 1 woman who's story was that she had reversed from a parking space, as she then drove away she caught the tow bar of the car next to her, having checked that there was no damage she drove off then later received the letter from the courts for not reporting and leaving the scene of an accident. Most of this course seemed to be aimed at light jumpers and those that use mobile phones (yes, they admitted it had not been updated since the change in the law about phones) they wanted to drill down into the reasons why people make the decision to jump the lights. The discussions generally took the opinion that mostly it was because people were in a hurry because the kids had made them late. I thing I took away from the course was not to have kids because they are the root of all evil on the roads.

What is Santa bringing your Corrado for Xmas. (And cars name please)
GrahamU replied to Cressa's topic in General Car Chat
Isn't that just a daily ritual for us all, should be in the contract Santa's bringing these but he came early :) But he is also bringing some new front discs, pictures to follow soon :) -
The head of one of mine sheared off but I could still lift the bumper up and pull it forward Are you sure its the bolt holding it in place and not some corrosion sticking the bracket to the chassis, maybe give it a bash ;)

proper sleeper :)

That looks great

Not really heard much on Siemans injectors so cant give an opinion but I'm sure someone will know more
-
Thats fine, a good tuner will just reduce the activation time, you have some spare for future mods ;)
-
Not so long ago you could buy new injectors for a vxr from vauxhall for quite cheap money, they are supposed to be a good upgrade and direct fit

Nice one Oli, Glad you explained the reason for the low power, they looked quite proud of 260 on facebook and I was thinking it was a little low for a K04 let alone a K04 on a modified engine

Cant see anyone that has asked for the OBD2 throttle body, so if its still available how much to post to Suffolk ? Thanks -
Good to hear its nearly run in, then the fun can start :) Those ball joint extenders arnt for leveling the driveshaft, they are for leveling the wish bone which improves the handling (and less bump steer IIRC) they bolt on at the bottom of the hub under the driveshaft The height of the shaft is governed by the height of the car is set to so you would have to raise the car or the height of the engine/gearbox

Corrado 2.0 16 Valve AGU 20VT Conversion
GrahamU replied to LukeCorrado1986's topic in Newbies Hangout
You cant keep the 16v ECU so you will have to change it to the AGU. The wiring looks worse than you think ;) most of that will go in the bin This was mine when it was last running before I updated it I can email the pdf for the loom or you could download it from here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_V9-6xfgGlINzhhM2IyNmItOWRhZS00MzBkLTk2MTEtNGIyZDFmMDg0NWM2 Alot of useful info on there from rubjonny on clubgti I got my ECU immobilisor removed by a guy with the user name of Andyout, agin on club GTI, he is cheap for doing it, or look for Andy Outhwaite of facebook Car looks good, you paint it all yourself? -
I think it moves about 5mm when lowered, I checked mine the other day with the wife and my son sat in the boot :)

Corrado 2.0 16 Valve AGU 20VT Conversion
GrahamU replied to LukeCorrado1986's topic in Newbies Hangout
Hi Luke, I have done this aswell so always here to help. Just completely rewired mine so all the wiring is hidden. Do you have any of the wiring drawings to refer to, I can send if you need them? Do you have a loom and ECU, Most of the wiring will be ready to put in if you have, there isnt alot to modify if you have the confidence to give it a go ;) My preference was to use the original VW ECU, mainly because it has the capability to give you more than enough power for the car, it will have the full VW diagnostics which is very useful for problem solving and logging when its running, they are readily available for cheap money, millions was spent developing it, they are reliable and there are plenty of tuners for them whether you go for an off the shelf map or rolling road tuned. Lets go through these one by one The late cluster tacho does work straight off the AGU ECU (and any others that transmit a digital level output) Yes, you would remove the old ECU and loom then replace it with the 1.8t loom and ECU using some of the old cables for power, ign, fuel pump switching from the old loom In standard 150 the engine will be a bit disappointing, you will need to map it to make it work properly, a K03 will go to about 190bhp, I have a map you could use, you just need a MMPS lead from ebay and to wire in the OBD port (k-Line diags to the ECU) 02J has the rep for the rivets holding the diff together letting go but it is the gearbox designed for the engine, but it will also depend on what size wheels you use, the mk4 golfs generally came with 16" rims so using smaller will alter the gearing and make the gears shorter You will need a downpipe to bolt onto the turbo, CAT is optional but you may need it for the MOT depending on the year your was made If you change to a k03s you will need a map, (I have one for an AGU with a K03s mod) you can get 220-230 with the k03s which is a big difference and very noticable You'll need to think about brakes aswell, at least 280s if not look at the 288 or 312 upgrades Hope that helps -
Looks good Oli Did you look at any axle relocation to center the rear wheels rather than rolling the arches ?

Thanks for asking Rob If I get something through that will be worth doing

Thanks Rob
