  1. Hadn't noticed the aerial delete, nice touch. Will you have an aerial somewhere else on the car or just stream music? Are they removing the rear windows and the spoiler rubbers? Looks a little odd to have bare metal'd round them
  2. Thanks, appreciate it Comments were about the paint, I am still working on that and I'll be the first to admit it still needs work, but he walked up to the front looked at it and then said the paint was sh*t, look at that run, then walked off, had no idea about the rest of the work that went into the car cos he could not see past a run in the paint
  3. Another weekend and its first show, some good comments but also some negative from an owner of a cheque book car so I wont worry too much about that Parked up with another Corrado, some of you will also know Stuart
  4. Looks good Cressa COuple I took today with the other cars And an arty shot
  5. Thanks, the mudflaps were universal from ebay The charge for CCGB does seem a little much for a couple of mags and a sticker that I cant use, but I did go to the day at Brooklands last year, would like it if they did that again so I could take mine
  6. Luckily, other than some rubbing on the rear aches it behaved itself quite nicely TBH I'm not sure if there was
  7. Had a Corrado Club of GB meet today, was a good turnout, just a couple of photos
  8. some of you may have seen this already but here are a few pictures from the weekend changed the rear plinth for a smooth de-locked covered in carbon wrap Rear plate is held in place using magnets so can be removed for the full smooth look at shows
  9. looks good, enjoy it I used to love driving my old G60
  10. was a good feeling and has sunk in now Insured for £212 which I didnt think was too much considering all my no claims are on the other car so this is starting from scratch Not taxed yet as I am to tight to pay for a whole month when there are only a couple of days left so tax will start on 1st May when it will officially hit the road. First meet will be a CCGB Norfolk/Suffolk meet on the 8th then gonna try Beetle juiced on the 21st, will see how it runs before I venture much further 🤣
  11. A genius idea, I take my hat off to you
  12. Still a little in shock today but yesterday it passed the MOT 😝 Couple of things that the drive to the test centre highlighted, the front suspension is a bit crashy, the rear tyres catch the arches and for some reason the oil pressure reading has gone a bit wrong but I'll get onto those
  13. Thanks Sean, I hope you are right 🙂 Added a couple of other bits today, Mudflaps to the rear to go with those on the front and a small reversing camera that will be shown on the display
  14. Few finishing touches prepping for the MOT Dash assembled And a little naughty, but took it for a drive round the block to be sure it actually drove ok Will book it for an MOT this week, if all goes well with that I'll flat and polish the rest of the paint
  15. Quickest I've owned is the 6R I have now, but the old 3dr Cossie was reasonable Quickest I have been in would be a Bugatti Chiron and a Veyron, 200mph on german autobahn and a bit more on the Ehra test track and a short outing in a AML Valkyrie Quickest I've driven would be a McLaren Senna or 720s, Aston Vantage GT12 Untitled by Graham Ursell, on Flickr Click on the video above and turn up the sound, it was a development car with Floud written on the rear 'silencer' All in a days work 🙂
  16. end of an era for you as well as us 😞
  17. And this was the week before 🙂 And shared the plane out with these 2 Danny Ric and Lando Norris for those who are unsure 🙂
  18. This week I have been away again, Unfortunately it was OEM day on track so only a couple of Volvo's and BMW's going round which wasn't the experience I wanted 😞
  19. Once again its been a while since my last update, its not been a great start to the year with my wife spending 4 weeks in hospital with sepsis, strangely, most people seemed to think I'd of spent every night in the garage but reallity really knocks the wind out of you. But she is out now and recovering well so I took some time today to fit my keyless ignition system. I have started by fitting an RFID immobilisor that is powered when the alarm is deactivated and sends power to the MoTeC display. I have a switch wired into the MoTeC and have put a whole load of logic into the display to allow me to remove the ignition key completely and start it using the push switch instead/ Made a video of it today, not sure how Flikr is working these days so you'll probably need to click on it to see 🤷‍♂️ Just need to tidy all the wiring up now and put the dash back together

    Covering trim pieces

My first attempt at covering was the roof lining which I did with faux alcontara and that stretched enough to follow the contours around the visor recesses. Give it a go and find out how much stretch you have in the material you have. I have used a few spray adhesives and most have been rubbish, this is the best I have found so far https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113693893436? You will mess things up when you do it so make sure you buy enough for your mistakes 😉 I also found that the plastic panels have like the A, B and C panels have a covering on them that is easily removed and makes it better to glue to, its a guess, but I assume the glove bos will be the same
  21. Taken from the CCGB face book page being arranged by Pete that some of you may know Sunday 8th May Building on the success on the last few events I’ve decided to run another ‘Norfolk/Suffolk’ meet for the club. Venue: Old Ram Coaching Inn, Ipswich Rd, Norwich NR15 2DE (https://www.theoldramnorfolk.co.uk) Kick off: 9am This has been a very well attended event in past with 25-30 cars on show. Although called the Norfolk/Suffolk meet, I must stress that this is open to EVERYONE wherever you live in the country! So if you fancy ‘blowing the cobwebs’ off the old girl as we approach ‘show season’ it would be great to see you! As usual the venue will have teas, coffees and bacon rolls on the go should you wish to purchase. As far as COVID goes I don’t anticipate any restrictions but I will engage with the venue closer to the time and communicate through this event page if we have to comply with any if their requirements. hope to see you there!
  22. nice and shiney. I've been stripping all the headlights I had in the garage and found 1 with a decent mirror finish 😞 still, half way there
  23. Feature was in 98, be lucky if the car survived let alone the pods, shame they covered the plate so cant check it Prestige doesn't look to exist any more and bbg Distribution looks to have moved on to AV under a new name of peerless AV https://eu.peerless-av.com// Maybe they still have info on it
  24. Prestige car audio did the install and I assume they were bespoke door pods made in house
