Tough one Jim... I understand the tinkering, i love tinkering but there is a limit and i hate that feeling of fix one thing for another two to go.. I think that is why i can't leave it alone and go with the preventative maintenance approach.. Time to sell, its either through an offer that has made you feel you must or circumstances, house purchase sounds fair enough although i doubt in the current corrado market it will make a huge difference.. I don't get it, we all have the cars on here and we talk down their value so much.. I mean i thought for months of something else to buy instead of a Corrado that would tick the same boxes and it isn't out there for compatible money, with the same charm and image.. VW shows, they can merge into one, the same cars are there but you are right it is about the people.. Speaking from experience though i found it very hard to chip in, forum or show without owning the car, i didn't feel like i was one of the gang, if that makes sense.. Resprays are expensive but when done well it is brilliant. If you are struggling to justify it then, take a pause, can you lay it up, leave it for a bit and then have another try next year?? Just my 2 p worth...

How good a condition is the coil pack? How many miles has it done, any cracks in the plastic and can you post??

I have no idea, only Gareth could answer that.. Ive spent the last week sourcing bits i would like and other bits to hoard. I had a nice run out yesterday in the sun, thoroughly enjoyed.. So today the car has been put to bed with all preparations made, leather fed, fully washed, arches and wheels full treatment, engine bay cleaned, dehumidifier box in car, all covered up and away.. I might get a chance to use it again in a week or so or ii will be away for a good while. Im going to continue to collect things i need..

A pillar trims in black, completely free from damage or any marks? Any chance of a picture if you have...

I don't know if i want to go down that road.. Once you start trimming where do you stop.. Id still like to see and a rough idea of cost.

I drove about 40 miles in mine, loving every minute then obviously gave it a wash as i have got the bug big style... Leather fed, some more purchases and getting ready to put it to be for the winter...

I need some a pillar trims, pair of. They need to be free from any marks, no alarm sensor hole or such alike and all fixing points be intact. I'll need them delivered to Glasgow. What you got? Money waiting for the right ones. Edit.. I also want the following - OSF Fog light, late, no damage at all.. - Door speaker grilles, black, late. - Passenger side elec window switch, late. - VR6, tank straps, nothing that is completely rotten.. - 263 cams - Drivers door card top trim (the black bit that runs along the inside of the window - crack free), ill have a passenger side also

If you want them gone individually I would take the passenger one. Long shot but worth a go.

Are the handles gone? If not I'll take them.

They do like very nice, I'm very smitten with the comps though.. I spent an hour having a bit of a clean under the bonnet today and sourced a couple of more bits i need. Regrettably ill have to leave the car alone for a few months through work very soon.. I have had some correspondence back from the guy who has my old one, he said, it now has 119k on the clock, only problem has been the immobiliser packed up and he had a very lengthy visit to Asda one day..

Kip yours is a beauty and a big statement on DIY quality conversions. I'm glad you liked the last one. This is going to be hard to build on and I think I will just keep the standard where it is. I have a few little ideas of some subtle changes. Nothing drastic though.

Thank you, i have been good, I've only washed it once and it has hardly moved.. Ive started under the bonnet though today, it really isn't going to need much effort though, its such a belter as it is.. The pictures in you sig were what originally inspired me to start tickling my old green one, i believe i did ask you years ago what suspension you had because i knew it had to be done.. Now swaps I'm afraid....thank you anyway.. I am glad to have it on its original number, the plate will always be associated with the car, that plate has been attached to some other nice cars in the past mind you.... I think this could be the pic of the day for me..
