  1. There are some seriously nice Corrado on here, in my opinion this is one of the best. The colour is stunning...
  2. Need to see some pics of the interior. Nice motor Karl, now get that Corrado split up and get this rocking.
  3. Had no doubt that if you peeked underneath it would be tidy Judith...
  4. Wheels look great, id be well happy with that.. Hows the 24v these days, i remember you had a few teething problems, hope its all sorted..
  5. Can you reach up with two wires and put 12 volts onto your battery, awkward but then you could open the car on the fob..
  6. And we all moan about needing to clay and polish our cars.. Hats off to that chap, long road ahead..
  7. Those wheels are awesome and make a great car even better, nicely done mate...
  8. Thats tidy and cheap.. Why did i lose the Corrado bug now they are so cheap????? Bet you are well pleased with that..

  10. So thats 5 in the household now, deary me.. Where did you find this one???
  11. The Gliptone is available from Alex at Elite car care - tip top service.. http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/leather-care.php
  12. I liked my Magnex, great fit, soundtrack although looking back i prefer the way the supersprint one exits the back of the car..
  13. Goodness me mate, just not needed, sort it out...
  14. Looking at these pics is making me, for the first time, NEED another Corrado in my life... Absolutely stunning car...
  15. Nice changes Fay, admire your patince, youve had that Magnex for yonks.. Car is coming along very nicely...
  16. The guy who i got it from said it was either Koni or Gmax, id say the former because the ride is very good, not hard at all. I havent beasted it into the corners but it isnt a bad handler at all.. It is very lively mate... It running on Ronal turbos with 205 wide tyres, anyone know how wide the ronals are?
  17. Pics will be coming, im going to do some before and after shots.... Does anyone know if you can get the tape that VW use to insulate their wiring looms? Ill have a tinker this week and get some up.. Oh and it will be a road only car, i wouldnt say sleeper but even with some rims and a tidy i dont think many people expect Mk2s to go like this.. Not sure whether to leave the 16v badges on it...
  18. Ill attack it a bit first then i will...
  19. All in good time Jon, its not up to scratch yet mate..
  20. True say Tom.. Mk2 came all the way from Essex..
  21. Well i bought it and travelled the 450 miles in it home tonight... Overall, its very solid, bit tatty, scuffed wheel arch trim, NS rear quarter will need paint, dash shell is cracked, seats will be going, slam panel needs changed (as new one supplied). All easy and not too expensive to sort..The engine is the cleanest part of the car, much cleaner than my Corrado one when i bought it. The wiring is good but i do want to tidy it slighlty.. It drives and brakes so straight, and, well, fook me its quick and i mean very. It picks up so well. Ok, overall balance of a Corrado no, top end wont be the same but doesnt really matter. It accelerates hard to 100 from all speeds and im sure it would keep going for some more. The noise, ive missed it so much and due to the fact its poorly sound deadened is very present. Its "just" the 2.8, decat, induction kit. I really fancy going OBD2 and seeing what that would be like.. Plans, few hundred quids worth of paint, wheels, seats, backbox change and to enjoy... Ok.. Its not the charged one Bill. Mk1 is advertised on E38 Josh. Swompy, rims arent free from scuffs, tyres are decent, ill give you a shout when they are off...
  22. I wonder who told you that Jim... The MK1 is a funny car, to me its the best looking car VW have ever done, it just needs so much doing to bring it up to driving pleasure of a Corrado or similar. Id love another but itll need garaged and a fortune thrown at it.. Not found on E38 Karl... It looks good, a self done conversion but ive seen some of the guys other work. Car has ronal turbos on which will be going buut other than that looks totally original, still wearing 16v badges, lets see what its like before i get too carried away..
  23. Well it didnt take long.. The Mk1 is great, its not a rolling restoration car though so its got to go.. And..............................................Im picking up another VR tomorrow... In a 90 spec Atlas Grey Mk2.... cant wait....

    OBD2

Just a thought at this stage. Id like to know a complete list of what is needed to change to Odb2, loom wise, sensors etc etc.. Also, to those who have done it, any hints, what can i expect to pay for the bits, how has it improved the car.. Thanks..
