Spoke to Vince today about these among other things - he said they are £350+vat and £200 fitting, but he also said he'd need 5 orders before he would place an order with Schimmel and at least ten to start a group buy and start talking about discounts...

This is the throttle body flange and adapter plate so all looks good to me on that side of things...

Wesley - is it proving a lot of work to do? What sort of more are you having to carry out? Kev - I thought that was right and did ask but be said not. Not got pics but I'll ask. Do you know if from what I've said if it sounds complete? Any bits I need to ask if they're there? *edit* Just spoke to him and he's using an adapter plate :) If I whack the pics up can you still just confirm it for me though please?

In my hunt for a Schrick manifold I've actually come across a VSR which has been converted to OBDII. My car is OBDI but the lad selling it has said to convert it back I just need to swap the ISV mount and throttle cable linkage off mine. Does this sound correct? The bits he has are the manifold, Schrick controller and vacuum pump. Now I know it will need a vacuum tank and I will also need a re-map but are there any other parts that sound like its missing?

Yeah seen that one lads but I'm not sure I can be bothered with the hassle of trying to track down all the bits I need to convert it. Would rather just buy the correct one if I can find one for a decent price

As above - anyone got a Schrick kicking about they want to sell? Must be complete and working. Cash waiting :)

I'm no expert mate but I'm pretty sure the Golf pipe is about 50mm shorter than the Corrado one. If nothing else at least this post will give you a bump and maybe attract the attention of someone who will know for sure ;)

Are the gaskets for Schrick manifolds the standard gaskets or are they specific to the manifold?

No sorry mate its just called body tape and I get it from Brown Brothers

I've always used double sided body tape for attaching trim etc. Just make sure you give the area a good wipe over with panel wipe and use a heat gun or hair dryer whilst applying.

Is that likely to be out of stock or no longer available at Bar-Tek? Wish I'd taken the one I was offered for £600 last year now :(

Gonna have to pull out sorry Fay. Was planning on having the tyres taken off my new wheels on Monday but my mate who's doing it is away next week so need to do it today, so not going to have tyres on my rims. So gutted :( Hopefully though this will be the first of many and I'll make the next one -

Right all makes sense now - I can see the lip you mean. I was looking around the spigot ring area. So basically as long as the diameter is correct, it should be fine? One other quick one - what size adapters are you running? I'm thinking 25mm...

Been reading up on PCD adapters for RH ZW1s and been reading that you can only use RH ones. Just wondered if anyone could confirm if this is still definitely the case and if so, what's the difference between RH and say, FK, HR etc?

Hahaha yep I saw those - absolutely insane. I'm thinking of ordering every single set classic parts has in stock cos lets face it, if a used one is worth £385 a brand new ones gotta be worth a grand easily :lol:
