  1. Ok mate no worries. Yeah couldn't believe it when I spotted it :(
  2. Yeah that's what I was thinking Keith - doesn't seem to be hitting where the Schrick does. Not sure on the make of the mounts but they're polyurethane and look pretty new. Engine doesn't really move at all if you rev it sat still. Bit worried about taking a Dremel to it as the bit in the picture that hasn't rubbed is where the skin is welded to the frame and I'm wary of going through the skin.
  3. Tom - is the bonnet still available and if so what sort of condition is it?
  4. Oh FFS! I thought it was just the Schrick that needed clearancing. Every how-to I read for the Schrick mentioned it, none of the VSR ones did :( Trouble is where it's catching isn't just on the frame, won't I run the risk of cutting through the bonnet?
  5. Yeah I know the phirm thanks Charlie
  6. Finally got my rims sorted and took my car for a nice long drive yesterday afternoon for the first time with the VSR fitted. Can't believe the difference it makes - its awesome. Spent most of the drive dropping down a gear and nailing it. Which could be the cause of... Only problem is when I came home and put the car away I noticed a nasty dent on the bonnet. Opened it up and the paint on the corner of the VSR and the underneath of the bonnet has worn away and the bonnet insulation has melted all over the top of the manifold. What I don't understand is I would put this down to the engine shifting as I'm booting it but the previous owner has fitted uprated engine mounts and they don't look very old at all. Do they normally raise the engine slightly? The other thing that concerns me is I know you get this problem with the Schrick manifolds but as the VSR is a factory mod I thought it should be fine. Never had any issues with the standard manifold either. Is it just a case of cut down the mounts? Help!
  7. Seem to have lost the metal spring clip off the multi plug on my headlamp - anybody have one? Cheers Jamie
  8. Excellent that's great news, fingers crossed mine will be the same then. I've got my VSR on and it seems to be working fine but still waiting for my bloody wheels so can't drive it. Pretty sure it should be the same and hopefully it will be driveable until I can get it mapped in the spring.
  9. RB are you running this with a standard map and all seems ok?
  10. Just the wrong time for me. Would have been in for a set if I hadn't had my alloys f*#%ed by the "refurbishers". Got to put that right before I do anything else just so I can get my car back on the road unfortunately :(
  11. Nice one :) Just really impatient to drive it now. Been without wheels for nearly 2 months now but should have them back and built by next weekend. Can't wait...
  12. Blue Bear is actually a really decent lad and a very talented hot rod builder. Don't believe everything you see on the telly gentlemen...
  13. This is the exact problem I've got. The car I bought that was " just how I want it" has had over £3k spent on it so far since Ive owned it and I've barely started
  14. Excellent thanks Tomi. I'll have a look in the morning :)
  15. Fitted my VSR this afternoon but due to the tool who was "refurbing" my wheels screwing them up I'm unable to to take the car for a spin to see what it's like. Is it possible to tell its working with the car sat still? The green light on the controller is on, turns red at 4000 rpm and the solenoid clicks. Should there be any change in engine note or anything or is the only way to really tell to drive it?
  16. I'm sorry chaps Im unfortunately going to have to give this a miss :( Spent nearly £2k on my Corrado in the last month and just can't justify the cost of cams at the moment...
  17. EJ - I paid around the going rate for a used Schrick, but not the hugely inflated eBay price. Delfinis - not sure what you mean Hofmeister - had me worried then, I thought you meant last week or something Looked at a supercharger myself but although I could buy the charger, I just can't stretch to the associated ancilliaries
  18. Haha yeah I saw that - insane. Paid a lot less than that for this Is this a wind up?
  19. About 35 miles from my house ;) Cheers man
  20. I knackered one of my leads on a Saturday afternoon and had to nip into GSF. All they had were the cheapo CSP silicon ones, which I bought to get me out of a hole and they have been fine. Think they were only about £40ish too
  21. Whereabouts in Hampshire are you Harrier? If you're anywhere near me I don't mind picking them up for you if that helps you both out?
