  1. Really like the look of the MKII tray. Don't suppose they're still available are they? I know Heritage have done them in the past but they're showing as unavailable on their site...
  2. Good tip on the B Pillars cheers mate :) Yep will have the seats out anyway as will probably combine running the cables for my stereo while it's all apart. Just got one more question for you Henny then I swear I'll leave you alone* - if I need to swap the inner sliding cover for mine due to a difference in colour, can you and is it straightforward? *until I break something and need to know how to fix it
  3. An hour??? Yeah sounds doable  Getting the headlining out in one piece is the only bit that looks like it may give me a bit of bother but as long as I'm careful it should be fine. With regard to the washers, I take it you mean for spacing out the frame from where it bolts into the roof panel?
  4. I reckon that VR is probably standard - mines easily that quick. Might have a BMC on it
  5. 1mm??? I would probably would never have noticed but now you've told me... :D Cheers Henny I ordered it and it should be here tomorrow so will try and whack it in Sunday. Read plenty of how-to's now and it looks pretty straightforward* *obviously will now take 3 weeks and will end with me needing a new headliner and all new a,b and c pillar trims :D
  6. Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the Golf scuttle cover + Passat wiper cover combo and a body coloured SWG one if anybody has them. Might be in for a group buy if the price is right.
  7. Cheers Henny :) Nah not too bothered about the corners sitting low as long as its not too[/] obvious and the car lives in a garage so shouldn't suffer from condensation too much. The only worrying thing for me is that you are saying that they are as prone to breakages as the Corrado one - I thought they were the same design but made with stronger components?
  8. Right just been messing with my sunroof again and lets just say things didn't go well! I've spoken to a main dealer and the repair kit is £90ish but I've found a complete B4 Passat estate Moonroof for £60 (+20 delivery). So what do you reckon - is that a decent price and should I go for it, or just repair the original? PS Got to ask - I'd need a second opinion if my arse was on fire :D
  9. Nice one cheers chaps :) So same as most VWs - nothing horrendous to worry about? Think I might grab one of Daves handbrake tunnel repairs as well before I start.
  10. Another chapter in my ongoing sunroof saga :( I now have a three motors - one tilts open and closed and slides open but stutters when closing, I have one which tilts open but won't close, opens if you push on the connector and closes if you pull on the connector and now one which slides open but won't close or tilt open or close! All these motors operate in this way whether they are connected to the mechanism or hanging free. The actual mechanism seems fine and slides really nicely on the Allen key so I'm pretty sure it's not that, the switch has been replaced and both switches have been cleaned and I've also put a new plug on so I'm just assuming I have three faulty motors - is there anybody that can re-con them?
  11. Right Gents I'm about to strip my interior to run the cables for my stereo, are there any Corrado specific problems I'm likely to run into? Any irreplaceable clips or anything I need to make sure I don't break?
  12. Hahaha look out for the deep end Shorty. A towering 5' 8" ere :D You're right though cars have got bigger. I was saying as well that the MKI Golf is smaller than the MKIV Polo
  13. Haha nice one cheers Pete. Was having a discussion with someone yesterday who was convinced my Corrado was bigger than his MK IV Golf. I mentioned that picture to reinforce my argument but then couldn't find it :D
  14. A bit weird but a few weeks back I'm sure I saw a picture on here of a Corrado parked next to a Punto (I think) outside an MOT station, anyone know the picture I'm talking about and got a link to it? Cheers :)
  15. Went into ECP last week with a list of parts which when the miserable unhelpful sod behind the counter totted them up came to £98. I asked him if he could check the prices as that was a lot more than I added up on the Internet and he said no, the Internet offers discounts I can't offer. Went out to my car and done it on the Internet - £51.70! He'd clearly messed up cos no way does the net knock almost 50% off. Was gonna hit the click and collect but would rather pay the extra and go to GSF. Won't be going back...
  16. Sorry mate I misunderstood what you were saying as well :) Not come across this myself in any of the VWs I've owned. Not difficult to run a switched live from the fusebox so may be your best bet if there isn't one anywhere on the harness
  17. Try swapping the red and yellow wires over
  18. Sorted - fuse 21 blown, wire to sender was damaged - new terminal and away we go :) Cheers Supercharged
  19. Give you a fiver for it then :D
  20. Nice one cheers SC. I'll check in the morning and have a bit more of a tidy up thanks mate :)
  21. Ok just finished putting the radiator in my car and now I'be got the oil pressure light and buzzer on - what have I done??? I put a new pressure switch in last week to cure an oil leak and it was fine but could it be as simple as a duff switch? Also, since I've put it all back together every time I switch off the ignition the clock goes out and back to 0:00 and the trip goes to 0.0. It's got to be a disturbed loom somewhere surely? I did spill a bit of water over near the battery (well quite a bit actually) when I was filling the rad but I mopped it all up as best I could - could this be causing it?
  22. Hahaha typical - other end of the country mate. Still interested in the eyebrow spoiler though can you send us some pics?
  23. You can get this type from the dealer for £20 but as said - crap!
  24. Maybe interested in the eyebrow spoiler and Eibach ARB - whereabouts are you mate?
