  1. How about one evening next week? - if it stays like this. Absolutely loving the Corrado at the moment. after several months of hardly using it its been great to take it out these last 3 evenings and give it a real good blast around the local B roads. Its so much fun!! Like a kid with a new toy I am
  2. Be interesting to see how you get on with the 3.68. Might help you keep up with me :shades:
  3. How about a little photo tour finishing up at the White Horse? (Berkeley, Nymphsfield, Stinchcombe, Wotton, Tortworth)
  4. Lovely night for a drive. Spotted this on the way home so couldn't resist chasing it for a photo
  5. Andy - I'll pop round with the stuff in a mo!
  6. MOT no 15 in the folder. Failed 1st time though as front ABS sensor was playing up. Anyway new one fitted and we're through - HC 12ppm , CO 0.023 (Fast Idle) and 0.010 (natural idle) -all well within limits - nice evening so out for a spin me thinks!

    Footwell Trim

I have the 2nd photo trim piece - £8.25 posted
  8. Did Nasser Hussain used to own this car??
  9. Looks a cracking example. I think that's a very fair price too
  10. I would definitely do the course - points stay on your licence for years and you'll get hit on insurance too. Also you never know when you might get more points - would be a disaster if you got 12 and a ban! I've done one course. I found it surprisingly good (although that's no guarantee yours will be) It did not feel like being sat in a class room at all. Some good tips on how to be more aware of speed and the consequences. I won't say I'm a saint now but I have definitely slowed down in urban 30mph zones. The decrease in survival rates for pedestrians being hit is fairly dramatic at speeds above 30mph.
  11. Are you mad? Wait, don't answer that we already know the answer! You can certainly save some dosh with it off the road - I even cancelled my insurance last autumn/winter - bit risky perhaps!
  12. Keep racking the miles up Dave - it was getting too close for comfort the last time we compared! Congrats on the 5th place. Coming to the Berkeley show??
  13. He could wave £6K at me and we'd have a conversation ;)
  14. How did you manage to swing an R8 as a daily hack??
  15. A sad day Jake but probably the right decision in the circumstances. I know you've invested a lot in this car ( not just cash) so I'm sure its a wrench to let it go but you're young and will have other opportunities to drive Corrados in the future. You can buy mine in 1o years time!
  16. Sorry to hear about your troubles Jake. Lots of good advice already (especially about lising ALL the pros and cons) but I'd add a few things to think about... A) Why don't you like the current job? is it just the manager or is the work itself? If its the former then I'd maybe try and stick it out for a while longer as he may be gone before long? If is the latter then time to start thinking of a move... B) Bakers job is obviously the safest bet which may be attractive to you as you have commitments now and in the future but has it got any future prospects?, would you enjoy it? - maybe going to C&G would open up opportunities? Is C&G the ideal job for you? If it is then maybe worth the risk of filling the maternity slot? If not then probably more risk that its just a stepping stone to somewhere else - nothing wrong with that of course but you need to be happy with the risk. C) If you decide to stay I definitely would not let the written warnings go without challenge - if they are not your fault then you need to appeal and get them reversed! As others have said there is a process and they will have to stick to it or risk being taken to court - I would speak to your HR people on a confidential basis. If there are unions then they could help but I'd use that as a last resort. D) End of the day happiness is priceless. A job that gets you down will contaminate the rest of your life however tough you are. Perhaps you don't have to jump right now but the real decision is to decide to look for another job - in 6 months there will probably be lots you could go for. You'll probably feel better just having decided to look as you will no longer feel trapped. E) I would definitely advise talking your fiancee about it (if you have not already) as her full support for whatever you decide will be vital Good luck mate. Give me a call if you want. Plenty of jobs regularly come up where I work which may be of interest?
  17. That's not my experience Jay - when charged mine is fantastic, so cold on max that I put a thermometer on the dash vent and it recorded down to 6 or 7c IIRC!
  18. If you guarantee low pollen counts  and spell my name correctly I'm in
  19. Gotta be worth a letter to the council. They will know who Eddie is ( as well as the chap you overheard as I assume he was in the gritter as well) and may question him/them about it. You could intimate you have further evidence and offer them the chance for an out of court settlement? ....... "....on investigation I have discovered that the vehicle that hit mine was a council gritter and this has been further corroborated by a conversation overheard where X said that was the car me and Eddie hit when we were out gritting" I have a witness to this conversation and intend to pursue the matter with the authorities if we cannot reach a satisfactory settlement"
  20. Top drawer Kip. Expected nothing less from you but still a credit to your determination and perseverance. You've come a long way since the dark days following the crash. Need some photos of all four in your stable!
  21. Thanks Chaps. No E I'm afraid:-(
