I know what you mean too! - Had a brilliant week of weather in the summer and took her out every evening for some great drives - we can't have another year of almost wall to wall rain again can we?

Seems like a lot of hassle for not a lot (if any) gain. There are some great interest free credit card deals at the moment which might take the pressure off but make sure you don't let it get out of hand. Also well worth checking you have the best deals on energy,bank accounts and house insurances. Plenty of good offers that will give you cash back for switching (eg quidco). Last year I made £350 that way! May take a couple of hours of your time

263s and a Stealth re-map were great for me. Car felt much more alive especially over 4K -you do get used to it though so it gets harder to give an objective opinion. Also like the BMC - just brilliant fun, especially in the summer when you have the windows down or better still though a tunnel I hardly ever use the car at night these days so not getting as much satisfaction from the gauges or benefit from an uprated loom Having semi retired my C a few years ago I really noticed how bad the standard brakes were every time I got back in - so for me the best mod overall is uprated brakes (I have 288's)
