  3. Congratulations to Dave and Graham on making it through their first year  - bound to get easier now - or maybe not if all todays attendees become regulars  Thanks too to all who had a hand in the food supplies - great spread  Great to see so many Corrados and quite a few other exotics too as well as putting some more names to some more faces. This will have to be regular on the calendar surely :)Corrado conversion V2 (3).pdfdg1.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]Book1.pdfdg2.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfdg3.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]ETKA Corrado.pdfdg4.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfdg5.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]Corrado92.pdfdg6.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfdg7.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfdg9.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]dg10.jpg[/attachment:rbn7jf0a]
  4. Congratulations on yer coming of age pal  Like that garage - reckon it needed to be that big to accommodate that humongous cake :)
  5. Bristol VW Fest @ Easter Compton on the 12th June is close for you :) We have 16 on the stand so far  http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=90634
  6. Great stuff, sounds like a whole lot of fun going on there :) Did you change up to bigger fuel injectors and did you need to cut a hole in the wing at all? Anything else needed? Would love to see this in the flesh - bring it along to a meet!
  7. A few shots of the goodness that went on.........Corrado92.pdfDSC04035[1].jpg[/attachment:3okp5int]passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfDSC04036[1].jpg[/attachment:3okp5int]climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfDSC04037[1].jpg[/attachment:3okp5int]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSC04045[1].jpg[/attachment:3okp5int]DSC04033[1].jpg[/attachment:3okp5int]Everything else looks scruffy now though
  8. We'll have to sort that out asap then! You're welcome anytime
  9. Should have introduced ourselves! Lovely VR you have there
  10. And almost all of them in the most desirable colour too... 8) and 20% of them needed new aux tensioner bearings
  11. Picked up the C from D&G today. Very, very pleased with the work and the feel of the car after all the work: Powder coated subframe and anti roll bar - swap out Neuspeed rear ARB Roll bar drop links, ball joints, bolts, retainer plate and roll bar bushes New wishbones and R32 bushes Front VT road mount Gearbox VT road mount Front wheel alignment The car handling feels very "tight and right" - really confidence inspiring in and out of fast bends :) Can't wait to try it out again on some more local roads. Can't praise Dave and Graham enough for the quality and care that they take in all their work :salute: Graham took so much time and care on the front wheel alignment which proved quite a challenge - pretty sure you didn't charge me enough labour today for that. Thanks also to Dave for the Bacon bap (something of a tradition at D&G) Good to chat to Ed and Jim who there today as well - at one point I counted 9 Corrados  I lost the impromptu competition to see who had the most knackered aux tensioner bearing  Dave is sending some photos of the work so will post those soon.
  12. Thats the one I've been too, and they are preaty good as its just over the river from me. :D Me too - All they did was fit an exhaust I supplied but couldn't fault the care they took and its been absolutely fine since.
  13. Looks very smart - you're not finishing here tho are ya  No pressure! Not entirely sure about the colour coded grill but I can't talk as I have 3 different grills :cuckoo:
  14. Right I've pulled out the Beige ones, PM me your postal details. Many thanks Dave, much appreciated :salute: PM sent
  15. Fitted new battery cover, new blue expansion tank cap, new washer bottle cap - Thanks to CazzaVR for ordering and picking up for me. Sprayed someone elses white lithium grease into my spoiler mech Helped fit a drivers side door glass to someone elses car
  16. Personally I'd stick with one colour. Polish will certainly bring it up nice but will be a bugger to keep clean unless you can get it laquered(I didn't when I had my valver and it was only a matter of months before really noticeable marks began to appear however much I tried to polish them out). Maybe painting might be an easier option?
  17. Managed to get one of these today - great fun and VFM - they were sold out in the 1st B&Q I tried. Reckon it will do the arches a treat.
  18. Not clean enough Jim! Seriously tho looking really good.Is that a black rear badge or is it colour coded?
  19. You can just pull seal just pull away from the frame with your fingers, no need to take it all off- just wedged it away from the frame and then sanded the rust away to bare metal and then painted with Hammerite Rust Beater. It wasn't too bad but was only gonna get worse - the C we're breaking at the moment had it really bad which is what prompted me to tackle it.
  20. Yep you're probably right - might try one if I find one hanging around an appropriately coloured kitchen  I need 4 beige ones 8) I think I've got some Beige ones, I'll have a look. Cheers Dave :)
  21. Not much time before Stanford so have made an early start - outside done, insides may get done but sunshine means there be may be other things to do 8) Anyway here she is making a brief excursion into the volcanic ash laden outdoors corrado2304a1.jpg[/attachment:1r8d3kk3] And also treated some rust that had cropped up under the drivers door seal (vertical section)climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfcorrado2304e.jpg[/attachment:1r8d3kk3]- only noticeable because the seal was getting uneven. Seen this on a number of Cs and been meaning to sort it for ages.2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfcorrado2304d.jpg[/attachment:1r8d3kk3]

  23. Messing around in the car reecently I've noticed I'm missing a few of these screw covers. AFAIK they are obsolete so thought I'd try a quick google. Came up with this - would it work I wonder  http://www.pro-dec.com/decorative-screw-caps-screw-covers/tap-caps-phillips-screw-covers;jsessionid=0a0102591f4398c51b8b1ba74e6ba847f073c5331765.e3eTa3aSaxmTe34Pa38Ta38Mb3r0
  24. Pretty much where it ended though its never as easy to be as precise as that - the rear I found especially difficult to get balanced - I'd do one side and then the other side woukd be out - was hard to work it out! Pretty sure it settled a bit in the following 6 months and I've raised it back up a couple of times, especially at the front There's a selection of side on shots on page 1
