  1. Very nice 8) Sounds terrific fun! Tried it in the wet yet? Did you replace the sunroof and the wife and the same time
  2. Wow, you boys must be close :camp: What are you implying
  3. Lookin forward to getting a ride in this 2nite :)
  4. Loods good in the sunshine 8) Good buy too! What are your first impressions of driving her?
  5. blimey, how did that happen then?
  6. You know what I think some of the rivallry stems from a grudging respect for Germanic efficiency and order - afterall we all love a German car don't we? If Germany was a class mate it would be the creep, always well prepared and always aiming to be top of the class at all costs. England would be the more laid back, wait till there is a crisis, don't do any revision, messing about at the back of the class type of classmate that somehow pulls it off at the end against all the odds (well hopefully!). At work we are continually benchmarking ourselves against the best in Europe and guess what its usually the Germans! Don't forget the Queen has German ancestry too
  7. Looking real mean 8) Like that look a lot :salute:
  8. Gone but not forgotten. Looking forward to seeing the replacement soon :)cazzas16v.jpg[/attachment:183yik86]
  9. I'm off to Berlin on Wednesday so hoping for some bragging rights :)
  10. Nice one Paul. Looks a beaut :) You and Judith could always employ drivers and take all your cars to shows
  11. Where could we use these from the same seller then? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Armory-Auctions__W0QQ_fsubZ12175332
  12. Looks lovely - love that colour 8)
  13. I guess that's true. Not exposing mine to the harsher elements these days so kinda hoping the soft wax will last well enough. Will probably appy the LP a bit harder next time anyway (I don't have machine polisher) . Impressed at how easy it was to work with these 2 products though - was getting a bit peeved off with what I had before (Meguirs paint cleaner and gold class wax) What hard wax do ya use?- Blue velvet?
  14. Yeah the LP was Drew's recommendation :salute: Real easy to work with. Didn't apply too much pressure this time as I wanted to test it out. Gives an excellent base for wax.
  15. Father's day brought Lime Prime and Purple Haze 8) 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfcorradofathersday7.jpg[/attachment:zdbf60s5]corradofathersday10.jpg[/attachment:zdbf60s5]
  16. Glad it all seems to be going well. Good weather and scenery thrown in 8) Like the stickers - all honorary Scots I see :) Enjoy the rest of the trip
  17. basically i used a company we supply at work and my boss had joked with them saying he would pay if they did the wheels pink (i didnt know about any of this lol) when they bought them back he expressed his dissappointment, to which they pointed out they had used pink primer. its noticebale but not extreme, tho very subtle. really like your storm, was it at stonor last year? Too subtle for me but I am allegedly colour blind  Yeah the Storm was there last year as well - Stonor is one of the best shows (if not the best) imo
  18. No we missed the pink - where was that then?
  19. Didn't manage to introduce myself but thought the car looked terrific on Sunday and now I know why it looked so clean! My son was really impressed with the wheelsstonor2010kpg.jpg[/attachment:1ke18zan]
  20. Good move, matey. Take it one step at a time. I can honestly say that there is more pleasure to be gained taking it easy and planning your purchases, so you buy only the best kit when you can afford it, and can appreciate each little modification in turn. If you rush to buy/fit it all, you won't be able to tell what the best mod was.. KWs are excellent coilovers. I have V1s on my C since Aug 2007 and the ride is great. If you decide you can afford the more expensive ones, then you get what you pay for. Just don't waste money skimping on decent suspension by being tempted by the cheaper end of the market; and make sure you get stainless steel bodied coilies as well, or else risk the adjuster rings seizing within 12-24 months unless really well looked after. I also had a set of RH ZW1s for about 12-18 months and loved them - in fact I still do! They are a heavy wheel and will slightly dull handling (make tramlining slightly worse too) but don't let that put you off them. They are lovely wheels - worth holding out for a good set too. HTH. Good luck with your car, and welcome to 'Rado ownership... Certainly agree with that although sometimes opportunities present themselves and you just have to go for it! Attend lots of meets and the ideas multiply pretty fast - avoid meeting Charlie too often  This looks a good car and look forward to seeing it progress - are you at Stonor next week?
  21. That's bad luck and very annoying. Could you maybe do a deal with one of the neighbours to park in the 2 end bays?
  22. A couple of simple jobs today: 1. Fitted a replacement inside door top plastic trim (the old one had been cracked ever since I've had the car) 2. Having found an old soldering iron in the garage took a small journey outside my comfort zone and fitted an in-line fuse to the headlight switch - following CrazyDave's mega helpful "how to" the absolute tee(including Maplin parts). Took me about 45 minutes but was ultra careful and included some soldering practice as I've never done any in anger before. Pleased it all went smoothly and would say it's one of those " if I can do it anyone can" type of mods :)corrado headlight switch.jpg[/attachment:16zdrwr1]
  23. That looks great work from here :) - probably a lot more satisfying having done it yourself.
  24. Some major pain there but you can't put a price on peace of mind. Were the chain guides very worn?
  25. Thanks to Volksworld13 for delivery of a very well packaged door trim :salute: Hassle free transaction :)
