They are a b!tch to remove mate i assume youve got the front end of the car off? I pulled it one way then the other for ages it eventually came off and had arm ache for the next week or so lol. They just weld themselves to the block over the years also when you end up removing it get a dremel on the edge of the hole it came out of so that its smooth Good luck

I was thinking a small tupperware box with a few slots in it to allow the wires through will see though. Had no problems with it though touch wood!

And i didnt change the bulbs either ive had the same bulbs in for 3 years now. What i may do in the coming weeks is make a box up for the relays so they are water tight through winter!

To save any speculation you need to find a garage with Vagcom so they can see whats at fault!

Mine did the same and the abs light would light up on occasions too turned out to be abs sensors and rear pick up ring!! Does your ABS light flash on and off once when you start the engine?? Not plugged in maybe thats why its not flashing when you feel the abs pulse??

ABS is a requirement if fitted as standard and as your is a storm it will be a requirement. Find a garage with VAGCOM and you can then find out whats causing your light to illuminate, could be something simple like a sensor!! -
