    MAFS Advice

The early maf which you have when unplugged will cut out the engine. On the later cars the maf is different and the engine note changes and it runs rough instead as it takes its readings from elsewhere
  8. Alright I need a bit of help had the abs light on the last couple of days Vagcommed it and its the rear left abs sensor. Im under the impression that i need the part number 1H0 927 807 A but are very expensive from VW parts so was looking at alternatives saw the pagid one on euro car parts http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-Left-N-S-Right-O-S-ABS-Brake-Sensor-VW-CORRADO-2-9-VR6-2-0I-16V-2-0I-91-95-/231179042002?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35d3583cd2 But in the item specifies section on the ebay ad it says 191927807D which is the earlier longer abs sensor. The other one they list is this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-Left-N-S-Right-O-S-ABS-Brake-Sensor-VW-CORRADO-1-8-16V-2-9-VR6-88-95-/331308066037?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d237fe4f5 But that has 3B0927807B in the item specifies Which one do i need ? Any other alternatives people recommend ? Thanks Jon

  11. A way to tell if its pump related is to undo the two fuel lines and put them in a container start the car and see if you get fuel coming out of the lines. If nothing then obviously its fuel related, i know the feeling of the fuel pump going happened last year and your symptoms sound the same as mine did. How olds your fuel pump relay ? Might be worth trying that first as its a hell of a lot cheaper than the fuel pump, if no change at least you know thats not at fault. As for changing the pump pretty straight forward they are expansive though, find out which one you have first VDO was fitted to the later VR's whereas the early vrs got a Pierberg one. VW only stock the VDO one
  12. Not at the minute mate but as i said if prices keep doing up...

  14. Replaced an exhaust clamp, exhaust rubber and bracket took me 2/3 hours fighting with rusty bolts got there in the end
  15. The bottom one is a joke right near all the heat of the manifold so just welds together
  16. Know the feeling when cars hack you off and especially when your doing the matrix in such a confined area. You'll get there mate
  17. Not good the one behind expansion tank come out ok?
  18. I used a cross head socket on a ratchet to get the air vent one out. As for the bottom ones maybe attack them from the back of it

  20. The plastic molding will be rounded off anyway so should just pull away from the bolt
