  1. I may be the only one who thinks the Corrado is looking dated, especially with the current wave of new metal. Doesn't mean that's a bad thing though ;) Mk1 Escort anyone?!
  2. Proper job there Matty! Can't wait to see it finished
  3. Croydon's within the orange if you ever fancied a ride in a VR6 turbo :norty:
  4. Only use V-Power as my car is mapped to it - I'm worried it'll pink if I use 95RON (could just be paranoia!) Re. the crap being at the bottom of a tank myth, Vince @ Stealth told me he took a tank apart before and found a build up of metal filings which he concluded were from petrol nozzles scraping in and out... must have taken a lot of filling up to do that!
  5. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds?M=-1&M=623&Option=1&isExperiment=True Some pricier examples coming out of the woodwork at the moment. Pretty sure that blue VR6 with the beige is Billzeebub from here... selling again! He must be on his 7th or 8th VR now :)
  6. Thanks Jim, I'll go ahead with the baron. I managed to find an email from the other potential buyer though so he has been notified :) thanks

    Late Black G60

Still looks good to me :)
  8. Somehow these have been marked as sold, how do I found out who did that? Unfortunately if whoever it was is reading this, bristolbaron got in first (it wasn't him). I'm a bit confused as to how to go about this now! Do I honour bristolbaron's post or am I now committed to whoever "bought" it on Panjo? Nick
  9. I know the Corrado these days looks small compared to modern metal, but my neighbours car just dwarfs it completely  Also thinking of getting these magnetic door defenders. Might look stupid when parked up (and potentially nicked), but I'm thinking it's a good solution to protecting your paint against taller cars (where their door opens on the crease and not on the original side strips). Thoughts? http://www.doorshox.com/car-door-protectors.htm Can't blame him in that case! It must the Oak Green one I can see on Google Images - looks great!
  10. Beige Heated Front Leather Seats 90 COLLECTED I need the space so these have to go. Removed from a VR6 Storm. Not in perfect condition, but no rips in the leather and can come up great with a clean (a bit dirty now) or some connolising. Certainly not the worst I've seen. MISSING - Seatbelt buckles (donated to my Recaros) and Drivers side lever handle (the one which tilts the seat to let passengers in the back). All these parts are available on ebay and are pretty cheap. Price reflects this. Heating elements work fine, although no loom provided. The picture shown is quite an old one (hence the tilt lever being present) but it's all I have at hand at the moment. The quality of the leather is not much worse, but you can see the main wear area on the drivers side bolster. I will take some more pictures if there is any interest. 90ovno COLLECTED from CR8. Need these gone ASAP so grab a bargain Nick List Date: 6/6/2014 Location: Purley, United Kingdom For more info, click here to view the original listing: Beige Heated Front Leather Seats 90 COLLECTED -------------------------------------- SOLD -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: Beige Heated Front Leather Seats 90 COLLECTED Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!

    New LM's

Looks good - looks like you had it lowered too. Any pics of the engine bay? (and caddy :) )
  12. Been meaning to go for years. I'd be interested, but would probably have a better idea later in the year
  13. It's a fair point tbh, they are a tad lardy. My Corrado never felt better than when it was on Solitudes with balloon tyres though! CH's Look great IMO, but I'm rather biased. The Rotas do look good too, so I say keep both sets! :norty:
  14. I used Syntha Silver 10w40 without any issues. Still run it now
  15. Alpine SWE-815 8" Amplified. Obviously not the most prestigious of equipment, but for the price/performance I find it to be a really good little sub 8)
  16. I'm loving it! Although I did fit it alongside some components and rears so it has all completely transformed the audio quality inside. I cranked the bass right up the other day just to see what it could do and was impressed (as were a couple of friends). I like the fact that it's small enough to not be such a burden in the boot, and already amplified which made wiring a lot easier. The little bass controller that you put in the cabin is also a handy device too. For my own needs it provides enough of a kick without getting silly. Nick
  17. A friend drew me a picture to celebrate my win. The git
  18. I share your pain! Really miss having a garage. TDI? Don't think I could ever go ahead with one of those, despite the insane torque curve. TSI though, in a Corrado sprayed Oak Green... hmm 8) Thanks Hasan, let me know a little in advance if you can so that I can bring the C in :) Nick
  19. Damn... wish I could have done that! Especially next to Clumpy :norty: btw Sean, I had a good look around your motor at the show - really is very nice and all of the hard work has paid off!
  20. So much remains on my list of things to do... Don't think I'll ever finish! But an SQS Gear set in the winter is the main priority, then new rear brakes (was thinking Mk4 but will see if Tarox do anything matching), paintwork, more trimming and some tidying up in general. The engine bay needs a lot of attention too, but in order to do a proper job it would all have to come out. Don't think I'd have the balls to do that any time soon! (especially as I don't have a garage) I really like those Oettinger wheels actually, had never seen or heard of them before so was pleasantly surprised. The car they're on has some really nice touches too and IMO was very under rated. Can't thank you enough Kev for all of your help and advice when going turbo - I think I'll keep my eyes peeled for a mint Ice grey one for you ;) Go TFSI though, that way I can draw upon your expertise if I ever decide to do another Corrado project ;) Thanks a lot Chris, I actually think your car was much more worthy than mine - the attention to detail is unreal. I felt embarrassed when I was being asked to pop my bonnet as you were parked right next to me, looking fresher than how it came out of the factory 8) And, any excuse to take the car out for a blast! Call shotgun next time I see you 8) There's room for 1 more in the back too :norty: Nick
  21. Also, bonus pic I took off my phone. Sorry about the blur!
  22. Wow, thank you all for your kind words - it may not be concours, but I'm glad you like the car :). I almost didn't go to the national day as my father sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago, but I'm glad I decided to suck it up and get buffing! Still very shocked that I won, didn't expect to even be in contention... Chris/Matt it was my pleasure to take you for a spin in it - I hope that the turbo didn't disappoint! Mic - nothing removed, just silly tyres  Also, went to Motorsport at Palace today. Unfortunately I didn't stay too long as I was still pretty tired from the National Day, and the fact that there was a lot of rain which affected the attendance - was all a bit quiet really. Still, I enjoyed catching up with some others and thanks to Ron for organising. Couple of snaps, and some non corrado content!: And something a bit different. Actually quite refreshing to see the 90s style look now! I didn't spot the owner to ask what those turbines were. Surely not turbos?! Nick
