  1. i have to admit my garage is down on the list of places I want to be right now. -6 degrees out at the mo. I might be wrong but I think the dizzy makes one turn for every two crank rotations, like the cam. Your not looking at it 360 degrees out are you? I guess not if the cam/cylinder head face mark is aligned. :|
  2. yup. the brake light has a push to brake switch. When the brake pedal is in the up position it turns off the light.Have a snoop under the dash. You'll work it out. Were you mucking around with the brake/servo setup during your trials and tribulations?
  3. I don't miss the g60 dizzy at all. :| Witch craft. Have u got a timing light? or are you saying the intermediate timing mark no longer lines up?
  4. Wow many times have you sold broke this car? or gone to anyway?? Your not well. I'm glad that your keeping it.And it's great you went to the trouble to put all your pictures back up.Definitly one of my favourite build threads. Great colour rado too. :D
  5. got some love from a guy in the Halfords carpark today. Described the car as "A classic". :) He'll get no argument from me.
  6. thnks everyone. yes I did bled the MC but i did it last not first. I think i used somewhere between bewteen 10 and 20 psi,I think closer to 20 than 10. However I will go and try and bleed it yet again. :| Thnks again. Even when bleeding with the wheels on the floor?
  7. hmmm..thnks. not sure where to go from here at the mo. I'm inclined to experiment with a larger MC.
  8. Oh ok.hmm..I can't get a good pedal with my wilwood's. Eezibleed the thing repeatedly. I thought i'd have the smaller MC on mine as it was g60 but from what you say Steve as it is ABS then it should already have an adequately sized one?!?? I was wondering if it was worth running the ABS pump with vagcom for 10 seconds as my ABS pump doesn't have bleed nipples. I guess I could just admit defeat and take it to VW but that irks me.
  9. I'm not sure you'd think so. :)
  10. Ok,to the fellas running 4 pots on their g60. Did u fit a larger master cylinder? thnks in advance.
  11. i would really check the ignition timing with an timing light as already suggested if the static timing is ok and you have compression and spark..If it is out enough the car will not start. Can you smell fuel? Are the spark plugs wet? You can hear the fuel pump prime etc ?
  12. are you talking about high/low oil pressure switches? Oil pressure senders were an option with the oil pressure guages obviously. 8)
  13. lower octane fuel would require less(retarded) timing. Most after market engine management systems do not have knock sensing and just rely on the car being sensibly mapped with for chosen fuel in mind.
  14. I'd love to ask Jeremy now if he really does still think the lude is better looking than the Corrado. C'mon now.
  15. I'd change the blue temperature sensor on top of the cylinder head water cooling hose first,as they are cheap.
  16. \/\/\//\ And the old one might fight you to come off..
  17. It aint that bad but I agree VW did a great job as is.
  18. i like that there are people out there that won't give up on a vehicle like this. Not much left of that one though. I wish him well with it. :)
  19. That looks very serious. Thats the one thing I farmed out, head re-build.Good to see you taking it on. The only thing i'd say is that when you do the valve guides you should get the seats re-cut ideally to make sure everything aligns 100% for a perfect gas seal. I know you have some expert eyes there to rely on and get advice from and I'm sure you know what your doing .Just thought i'd mention it as someting to ponder 8)
