  1. Top gear and American chopper. The only reason my TV gets any work. :)
  2. Yes i'd always want to buy a standard example. So I could modify it. :) No I would not swap my tatty modded car for a mint standard example. I love my car.
  3. It is damage free.I wouldn't mention it otherwise. :) Yes i'm in Reading. But I could give it to a friend at the stealth rolling road day. He lives In Lancashire. I'll have to check that it isn't an imposition for him. I'll take pics etc 2morrow.
  4. very nice indeed. Should last you another 10 year now. Is that windscreen wiper fluid bottle new from VW too?
  5. :salute: thnks for sharing progress. really interesting.
  6. :D Life in Europe seems to be agreeing with you. I think you'll like the smaller pulley. 65mm? I thought you bought a 68?
  7. contact sns Dan so they can tell you what hardware that chip was programmed for.
  8. ha ha had the same problem then? so you def dont think its something more serious like the crank? so if its just the cables any half decent mechanic will be able to sort in no time then? it will be an educated guess based on your symptoms and the recent work you have had done.
  9. you'd need a vr6 sub frame. ecu and engine loom.
  10. my bumpers never on.Its never fallen through yet.
  11. ...yeah they are in the middle of the two big 17mm bolts for the bumper(85nm ). Bentley dosn't have any details for them. :( Your right I wouldn't want to over torque them so it would be nice to know the spec. Blimey those bolts were missing? So you couldn't just take the bumper off then with the engine in. Not with getting a headache.
  12. Anyone know pls? I checked the knowledge base. The two 13 mm bolts that hold the rad support and the front subframe with the front engine mount in place. thnks.

    G60death???

Sound like your firing order is out. it's 1-3-4-2.The dizzy rotor turns clockwise. #1 is at 13:00 on the dizzy I think.
  14. won't make any difference to how your car performs. To remove stock rail just remove ISV and rocker cover for better access. Then remove fuel injector wiring, fpr and fuel lines etc. Make sure there is obviously no fuel pressure in the system before disconnecting fuel lines.
  15. Glad it helped. This little project of yours couldn't be better timed as far as I'm concerned. 8)
  16. Your ignition timing needs setting up. Too retarded at the mo.
  17. When this happened to me they just banged on a snug fitting socket and whizzed it off. Irwins are about 20 odd quid from good motor factors. Machinemart sell them ann screwfix too.
  18. good ol tri star locking wheel nuts. :) as said.. Someone with a good airgun should be able to get that off no probs
  19. isle of weight sort of size. nah wasn't me.Unless I sat on my phone and types Jon with my ar$e.
  20. No one knows. I will say that the dish looks similar to the dish on my new pistons. Obviously the 8v cylinder head has a much smaller combustion chamber.
  21. St James then? 8) I was going to see if you was near my folks, although everywhere is near everywhere in Barbados.
  22. Ok. PM me you address. Got these anyway..
  23. My g60 has a controller. I think late ones did. :) Can you send me a picture, they are listed in ETKA but as usual not much info.... Kev, I might need to do something a little different in the software for yours. The DTA 'turn on' signal isn't a problem but I may slowly increase the fan speed over time to cover sitting in traffic etc. I can send it to you if you like. It's not doing much cooling at the mo. :)
