  1. He had a point and he did drive his heart out.I was suprised he came in and he was definitely caught by webber. Redbull again fail to get vettell across the line. :) Only a matter of time though Interesting to listen martin whitmarshs comments about the redbull being able to run so low down in qualifying conditions. I was expecting more of a response from people. I understood that active suspensions was a no no. Have redbull come out and denied it?

  3. lol this is what im doing, 2.0l abf 16v, got t3 turbo, 440cc injectors and will be running it on mega squirt, trying to find out how much more bhp ill get :D There's no magic formula.It depends on how much boost you run,and how much boost you run obviously depends on the strength and makeup of your engine so I am loathed to start quoting headline numbers.For 16vt VW's toyotecs build really is the best place to start looking.VEEDUBBED on here has built an monster of a 16v turbo too but i don't think his is conventional.It's well engineered without being over engineered,if indeed you can ever over engineer something.

  5. where does it get its tach sig from btw? does it use a cam trigger wheel or a crank trigger wheel or something? Just curious how they did it.
  6. you can might be able to find dos emulation software from somewhere.I think I have used it once for some obscure piece of hardware.. To me one of the benefits of a standalone should be the ability to see different engine parameters etc so i would of thought that the haltech would give yoU a clue.Judging by all that blue smoke it looks like either over fueling or a misfire.
  7. It would be nice if you kept it but in a way it would be nice if a "non tinkerer" bought it and then just drove/maintained it. You'll sell it sooner or later,even if you change your mind again this time. :lol:

  13. When the presenter asked Eddie Jordan what he thought of the race there was that pregnant pause,followed by"It was different." That said it all for me. Jenson was driving within himself worried about his tires and Massa was also trying to save fuel,no doubt looking at him MPG guage lol.wtf. Dosn't really pass as motorsport imo. Slow. :(
  14. Simon,shouldn't the engine management system be abole to give hime some clues? Can you not log into the haltech with a laptop? You should have access to different engine parameters including engine temp,no?
  15. the no re-fueling has sterilized it imo. Redbull have built an incredible car though and the red ones aren't too shabby either.
  16. if you have a late g with a single intank pump and you go to a dealer for a fuel pump,then a vr6 pump is what they will sell you for your g60. Short answer is yes,if you have a single intank pump.
  17. I use 440cc lucas injectors.Some people think they are too large for our engines saying that it is differcult to get a good idle etc.This has not been the case for me at all. However maybe you'd like to consider something in between the 315cc red tops and 440cc's. I'll see if I can dig out a list.
  18. No definitive list.People do it in different ways,use different size turbo's and different spec engines depending on budget and target power levels.
  19. what about the "improvement in throttle response" that I hear people talk about?
